Obviously United are paying for potential but seeing that he's all over the sporting media suddenly, it occurred to me that this big money move so early in his career might interfere with him realising that potential.
A year or two in our first team would prepare him for "stardom". How his personality is going to react to this abrupt change in status must be uncertain.
It would hardly be surprising if he were to suddenly feel that he was Billy Big Bollox with no need to work. The risk of too much too soon.
Ok am I nutz or did I really see that we got 12 million for smalling? So they are willing to pay 12 Million for a guy sitting on our bench? Well, how much they willing to pay for a guy sitting on his couch at home watching football on the tele? I must be invaluable.
