I said a few weeks ago what a top player he was but how these niggling injuries he picks up are a concern, now Jol has confirmed he has a hamstring injury and is out for 3 weeks Jol must be concerned ...

Inexcusable really that the medical didn't pick up the injuries he was yet to have.

He was kicked by a Sunderland player and that is what caused it, does that make him injury prone?

"A hamstring injury can also occur as a result of a direct blow to the muscle, such as being kicked in the back of the thigh, or falling on the back of the thigh. Hamstring contusions are different from pulled hamstrings, although they may cause similar symptoms."

IIRC correctly he didn't miss a minute of their title winning season but just towards the end of 2010 he had a freak knee injury and has been having issues with his legs ever since
