LB on Facebook posted a message showing our original drummer Graham (Hoops) Hooper and asking that the drum be reinstated. In reply I wrote the following:
John Ellen Hoops in that picture was one of my all time good friends whom I met through Fulham
When he died I was asked to write a poem to be read at his funeral which started "A distant drum beats in the sky, Where heavens weep and angels cry".
I wonder if the heavens are weeping and the angels crying at this senseless decision by the club we love.
Bring back the Drum in memory of one of our great supporters.
