Title: Old Sod's Army

Had to make do with Wireless 5 today. The end of game report said that we had dominated the second half.
I will never forget a 4th round tie back in February 1967. v Sheffield United, who were a real bogey side to us. We ran them ragged but had no luck at all. They had a bald headed bloke on the wing who looked about 45, Bill Punton, who really played well. I recall he crossing for Mick Jones or Alan Birchenall to put them ahead. The 2nd half was a constant siege on their goal at the Hammersmith End. Then, right at the death, Allan Clarke 'sniffed' a leveller. We lost the replay 3-1.  Really hurt that did.
