Title: Back to Business...Stoke Saturday
Post by: Mr-ska on February 20, 2013, 09:10:13 AM
Beginning to buzz and the thought of the return of Premiership Football.

I wonder if the new signing have manged to gel with the squad.

Surely the squad must be rested and ready to go..

Cant wait!

I'm now going to be in Belgium as Mr B secretly changed the hotel and ferry booking. I couldn't go to match anyway though :-(

Maybe you need to "secretly" put something in his tea!

Yes, can't waite for Saturday. A tough game but I an hoping that the new players will have bedded in and that we will see a well prepared team ready to start a tough programme of 12 matches from which we need 11 points.

Seems like a lifetime since our last game.

Expecting us to pick up at least a point on this one. I highly doubt we'll let Stoke bully us off the pitch, like they did earlier in the season. If Jol gets his tactics right, it could be a huge boost towards our Premiership survival.

COYW!

Looking forward to seeing Emanuelson Saturday, think Enoh/Frimpong will be needed in this sort of physical game, a win will set us up nicely going into the last few months

Frimpong should definitely start, although isn't Diarra supposed to be fit in time for saturday too?

Nice if Simon Davis came on for a spectacular cameo.

What's the chance of keeping at least 2 Fulham Players on the halfway line when Stoke have set pieces or those long throws.

It would take 3 if not 4 of their players out of our penalty area, as they would have to mark the 2 Fulham Players.

Will Jol do this?...(I don't think so)

I should have been a coach...

looking forward to it, on tv over here. However, I get very nervous lately until Fulham score (twice!)   A one goal lead has not been too secure this season.  Maybe they have been working on defending set pieces for 2 weeks. Optimisitic, will just nick it.

Correct me if im wrong but wouldn't we have an instant advantage anyway with the top team only having 10 players?

Last night I dreamt we beat Stoke & QPR conquered Man Utd.  Good odds on this double I expect.

Sorry forgot to say that Huth had already been sent off for head-butting Karagounis...

A nice 2v1 win for Fulham I believe. Berbs and Duff on the score sheet.

QPR have been enjoying the Dubai sun while Utd have had tough games, I think it could be closer than some think.

Really looking forward to this. I fancy us to win this one. 2-1. Don't care who scores. Early kick off is good for me too as I can get the 19.00 hours flight home and I will be back on the couch for 21.00. On the downside, I have to be in the airport for 06.30 ish on Saturday morning for my flight over.

I feel very confident about this one, Stoke have gone off the boil a little of late, and I think we are on our way out of our annual bad spell.  3 points will be a big step towards safety . . . Dare I say it, 3 points on Saturday, with our run in, will all but secure another year in the Premiership.
