Title: Yellow Cards
Post by: LordFloyd on April 28, 2010, 01:33:04 PM
Sorry if this has been posted before.

If Bobby plays tomorrow, is he going to play differently to try and avoid the yellow card that would take him out of the final?  Same with Gera.  If they both got booked and we win then we're in trouble!

Have to agree about the concerns there, especially since this Turk ref is card happy

I believe Konch is on a yellow card as well.

Bah, they really need to change this rule. Penalizing someone for a card they picked up rounds before is just silly.

I say wipe each person's slate clean at each knockout round, unless it was a straight red from an earlier game.

If a player gets a yellow in both legs of a knockout round, then he misses the first match of the next round if the team advances. If this happens and the team advances to the final, then the player won't be suspended but must start on the bench.

Why rob teams of their best players in the final, or other rounds, for things they did a month prior? Dumb, dumb, dumb.
