Title: QPR reaction
Post by: M i c K Y x FFC on April 01, 2013, 11:19:36 PM
Relieved. That's all I can say. We were superb in the first half, but 2 Karagounis mistakes nearly killed us. After that, we were shocking. No words to describe it. If QPR were good, we would of lost. The good thing with Karagounis was he was gearing everyone on, and you can't blame him for the second half. Berbatov got annoyed too quickly, but, he put the ball in the net twice. You can't moan. Emanuelson was shocking. Never play again in my opinion. Frimpong was good, and he will be starting the next 3 games, because of a very opinionated red card. Overall, nice to see QPR lose, and practically get relegated, and extend our unbeaten run. But a word of warning, never let your heads drop, or you will pay the price. COYW. FFC.

A really good result, albeit against a terrible side. We brushed them aside very easily but took our foot off the gas too early.

Luckily, they don't have any real quality in their side & created next to nothing. Don't forget they are absolutely desperate for points where as we're coasting to a mid table finish, so overall I'm happy.

I have to say how impressed I was with their fans tonight though.... Only joking. Never known 2,500 people stay sooooo quiet. Were they doing some sort of sponsored silence?? Felt a little embarrassed for them after all their hyping themselves up - very poor.

Just got back to the Chilly Chilterns myself.

It seems as if the winner's champagne got opened in the Fulham dressing room during half time, while QPR got some of Twitcher's Sour Whine.

Even at the second half kick-off, QPR encroached into the circle before our first touch, which was still taken, pressurising a back pass to Karagounis who fluffed his touch, and a shot on our goal followed. That seemed to set the scene for the second half.....panic replaced the cool passing game of the first half, culminating in a clearly red-card-worthy tackle by Sidders.

Outside the ground before the kick-off, a bunch of QPR er.. intellectuals who were being escorted to the away end by the police were chanting; "Boring Fulham"

In fact, I wouldn't have minded a bit more boredom and a couple more goals in the second half ! As it was the atmosphere was electric up to the final whistle.

funny to see a PL london club only take half the putney when most take 2 thirds at least

They still think they were amazing, strange isn't it:

Deluded turds almost flushed to where they will spend a few more years.

All they talk about are our supporters and the statue. At the end of the day, its about the game, and we won, and are in the BPL next year.

Deluded is the right word for them. That and 'bitter'. I noticed that, 106 seconds into the match they were off with 'Your support is effing sh!t'. Sad. I wish we hadn't gifted them that first goal just before half time. Without that, I think it would have been another 6-0.
It's sad, really. I respected QPR for the way they played in the mid-1970s under Dave Sexton but they really are a plastic club now.

They were having a go because they could get seats in the Putney End easily? Erm, that's the Away end. If you lot had taken up your allocation, there wouldn't be any seats. Pathetic.
