Title: Average positions of the players last night.
Post by: MJG on April 18, 2013, 07:56:47 AM
Look at the average positions of players and you could have thrown a blanket over our front 6.
No width at all and was almost 4-6-0. With Berbatov/Ruiz/Petric any 2 of those 3 in the same team means we lack pace and energy.
Ruiz should never ever ever play as a wide midfielder again. But as keep saying Jol will not drop him, he would rather he played at LB than let his £10M player not start.
Reither was doing the job of two players down that wing, Jol has to play natural wide players with pace or at least the ability to run forwards.
As someone wrote elsewhere, one came on after 85 minutes and the other is in Burnley.

what scares me is in his latest vid Jol says our defence and strikers are ok...
Ruiz shouldnt be on the pitch let alone out wide for me, he and Berba dont work well together. couple nice moves and all hail Berba and Ruiz yet when Rodders and Berba link only a select few make a noise.
