Rumours coming out that this is a done deal, all be it from Twitter sources, but they are reliable ones and always break first... Great.
Is that the imminent announcement?
Some sources claiming it's a loan deal.
Ok so we have lost Bent and Huddlestone in one day.... Perhaps we are looking at better targets than both of these..... Now the journalists will actually have to do some work and make up some new targets for us.... We have been linked with Huddlestone and Bent forever....

Paul Scharner is waiting on tenterhooks for us to make a bid (as he has done for the last 8 transfer windows)
Whilst we are at it can Sako sign for somebody please.... he is a real worry for us signing him, in fact I almost expect him to sign on deadline day.... I have promised to be positive on our next signing ( with the exception of Bendtner, barton and Odemwingie) so please let us sign someone before we sign Sako....
Huddlestone I'm not too bothered about, we were lightly linked to him, but Bent, Martin Jol even spoke about this one after games and we have lost out to a newly promoted club. This isn't good, UNLESS, of course we have something better lined up... Not sure we do though.
Lukaku....Thats who im going for
the majority of fulham fans didn't want huddlestone ( including me ) but i guarantee the same fans will moan we didn't get him and lack ' ambition'
Heard that bent got fed up waiting as we were stalling
I didnt want him or Bent in all fairness.... But woukd have took them over no signings..... I am confident we are not missing out on targets.... We keep things very hush hush
Odenwingie and Parker the dream team are still available.
If it hasn't been announced then its not a "DONE DEAL"... 1500.gif
We better have a better lined up or the board can expect a backlash from the fans, and rightly so.
There's not gonna be any backlash 064.gif This is Fulham we're talking about.
This is the most negative the board has been in a while, but to be honest its easy to see why... We were such a poor poor side last season, some of the performances have not been so bad since the dark days of Lawrie Sanchez...
Im going to stay optimistic until the window shuts.... but if we have not made some signings I am going to be probably the angriest person on the board..... I might turn green and everything
After last seasons sad transfer activity we did have hope this season with the new owner coming in. But the season starts in a few days and with two and a half weeks to go I think frustration and a little sadness is bound to come in now for many of us. With the good players that were linked going elsewhere the club are wanting to continue to survive on the cheap.
The silly ambition under Al was to be the UnIted of The South. Well we didn't do badly in failure. Our ambition now is survival on the cheap and hopefully do better than last year. Fair enough. So old men and loans are what we should expect. Anything else is just kidding ourselves.
So here is hoping for a few out of contract and loans still to come.
If Bent goes to Palace and Osvaldo to Saints. We still have time to lower our expectations.
I think Al fayed wasnt far off that in all fairness.... we have had a 7th place finish and a European final in recent years...Not bad for a "small" club like Fulham
Khan will not allow us to get relegated.... He will put money into this club, and do his side of tje bargain .... But we need the players and managment to do what is expected of them... Barring Hangeland, Reither, Djegajah, and Berbatov based on last seasons performances we have 7 shirts up for grabs.... I hope Jol makes that very clear to our team, and I would love him to play the kids chomping at the bit to get some game time, if one of tjem shirts does come available
No one knows how Khan will run the club, it's irritating people keep saying 'he will do this or that'. As things stand he's talked big but with no end product and I must say it's irritating that Jol is once again talking about 'being creative'. After all the big talk about spending big Khan needs to put his money where his mouth is.
Wouldn't at all surprise me as we spent so long pissing about over the extra 1.2m Villa wanted. It was obvious that Bent was our Osvaldo back up and we'll end up with neither.
In 1 day we could lose 2 players we were after to promoted sides and one to a championship side.
Says it all really. I haven't even seen us linked to another forward

I would be interest to hear exactly why Bent chose to go to a club who are odds on to be relegated.
It could be that all the supposed interest was hype and the truth is that no one else wanted him.

You seem to have some insight - why do you think he is not going to?
Have you forgotten that there is still another 2 weeks and 5 days before the window closes?
As Bent has gone to Palace perhaps we could be in for Kevin Phillips?

No better than Rodallega??? Their goal scoring records say otherwise I'm afraid. Not in the same league.
How on earth can relegation favourites Palace prove more attractive to Bent than Fulham, can't see us getting anyone of real quality at this rate.
As the Telegraph said our spending priority must be finding a quality butler for Berbatov.

Don't know about a backlash but there's still a few ,myself included who were mulling over getting a season ticket, bollocks to it now.
I was pretty patient over the signings but its becoming increasingly obvious the new guy is not going to be digging too deep in the pockets.
Stand still in this division and you're going to come unstuck. Scott Parker,if true ,£3 million quid is a absolute joke

Well, they could've offered him a silly amount of money.
Regarding Le Fondre, he scored over twice as many Premier League goals last season as anybody on our team not named Berbatov. He's also only 26. We could do worse. Not to say that he should be our first and only option, but signing him would hardly be a disaster.
Radio shows' callers are starting to lump us into bottom 3 predictions for season's end. I hate to see fans of the game thinking of Fulham that way. I'm glad we didn't get Bent. We got Berbatov last season. Maybe lightning will strike twice and we'll get two new QUALITY additions just before the start of the season.
This is not true. I haven't seen anywhere Bent moving to Palace. If this was true it will be everywhere.
Trying not to get too excited with this news as this has happened before. But I live in hope!

Even lots of Fulham fans fear we'll be bottom 3 which isn't a good sign bearing in mind we know our team better than most. We were really struggling 2nd half of last season & we haven't improved while teams around us have. We all know the areas we need to improve, as does Jol & the board but no sign of new players in the areas we desperately need. Therefore, we're rightly being tipped for relegation.
Toon have agreed terms with Bent and Agent and are still talking to Villa
but another club HHhhF.....ham have muddied the waters
It seem doubtful that Lambert would loan him (and have the problem of him in 9 months) to Palace while Villa have not one but two clubs active for a deal
....doesn't it ??????

We have definitely improved. Amorebieta, Stekelenburg and Boateng all upgrades on their predecessors. Taarabt has the potential to be a superb signing. But we're in dire need of more players. We are weaker up front and still lacking that playmaker in midfield.

To be fair, the way the last couple of seasons have gone anyone from 12th downwards was at risk of being only a couple of bad games away from the relegation dogfight. Therefore it doesn't take too much of a leap for supporters of the bigger teams to pick little old Fulham as one of the unlucky three for next season.

I don't know enough about Amorebieta but no doubt he's better than Senderos, (I'm better than Senderos!!), no idea how he pushed Hughes out of the team. He has a terrible disciplinary record though. As for Stekelenburg, is he better than Schwarzer? Certainly not an area we were desperate to strengthen & I haven't been overly impressed by Boateng, so I don't think we've improved at all.

All three players will need time to settle, none have played to their full potential yet. That's one of the problems with signing non-PL players. But I can assure you they are all upgrades.

okay yes a slight exaggeration but Darren Bent still isn't good enough, missing out on his signing isn't worth all the negativity it is generating. We should be aiming for players who will get us back into the top 10 where I believe we belong. Surely it is better to aim high rather than settle for players like bent just because we want to see a signing. This board is becoming unbearable negative, I hope we sign someone to change this.
