With the clear problem we currently haver at LB in the squad, how about taking a punt with Benoit assou Ekotto from spurs, he cant get into the first team now with all the new signings AVB has/is making and he seem to be an ideal cover for that area. Harry Redknap is apparently looking to get him today, why dont we jump in and get him first!!!!!!
I don't think that, with the sums of money involved, we should "take a punt" on anyone. If it's a reasoned response to a need for cover in a particular area that's different.
Assou Ekotto is not a punt.... he would be quality but we cant loan any more premier league players?????
Benoit Assou-Ekotto isn't much better than Richardson, and is the same age. If we're bringing in a new left back, he must have potential, i.e. Aaron Cresswell.
