Had the same thing when I signed up - never got the approval email, but (after a reasonably short period of time) could log in and post anyway.
I'd suggest that Flynny just gives it a go.
...I see all the nick-names of those who join FOF, and Flynny has yet to apply, so I don't know what website he is trying, but it isn't Friends OF Fulham..!
