It was never called the Ernie Clay stand it was for a short time called the Eric Miller Stand.
Now come on we have all gone berserk in an away stand before. I remember being at Brentford a few years ago, unable to get tickets in the away stand. I think we scored 3 goals. We were all quiet when the first one went in but after the third we all went berserk

Mr Kinnock was a politician who wanted to be Prime Minister. The reason he should not over react and cause offence is because he is still in the public eye. Applaud and smile but clearly he did more than that. I hope he will think of others around him in future. Clearly something he didn't learn in his previous job.
I'd have been more embarrassed about being near the poor little souls getting all worked up over a 71 year old and his grand-kids supporting the opposition.
FFS, they would hardly have been intimidating - football fans need to be a little less precious over this sort of thing.
Totally different if fans were taking the p*ss, or stopping FFC fans from getting tickets, but don't even need to have seen it to picture people frothing at the mouth shouting out out out!

I know what you're saying, but my point is that I think it is sad that an old man and his grand-kids should have to sit on their hands when their team score because they happen to be in the 'wrong end'.
Totally understand if it is provocative younger elements, (where at most grounds they would just get a slap as you know), but people need to remember (or learn) what football used to be like before such strict segregation (which serves a purpose to a point), and be a bit more tolerant of other fans, especially those posing no particular threat.
Last point not intended towards yourself as it would appear you are playing devils advocate.
I suppose those in the Riverside ought to impart more passion towards the pitch itself - that would help!

Agreed, but where was the ejection? He just got 'moved' to spare seats at the Putney End. One rule for some .... perhaps
