Title: Adel Taarabt
Post by: JackyFulham90 on October 23, 2013, 12:29:39 PM
Really hope he can get himself fit & stay fit, I like what I've seen so far when he has played I think he can become a key player for us

Supposedly said worst move of his career coming here... Hard to believe when he's been at that dump for the previous.

Against Palace, we played a more 4-3-2-1, with Berbatov the 3rd CM, and Kasami and Ruiz playing behind Bent. This is the position Taarabt loves, however, Kasami is our key man atm, and if Ruiz can deliver those set pieces again, I would put him in the team for that reason.

Yes. Please tell us when this was and provide the link to the quote.

The only quotes I remember from him regarding his "comfort" with being a White was basically saying that he'd found "family" with our club. Very difficult to see him doing that kind of verbal 180 in just a couple months' time.

Not saying it didn't or couldn't happen, but it just doesn't have the ring of truth to it.

there is something on the watrbs forum, but nothing concrete that it was actually said. and by all accounts its down to the fact that he knows he wont be playing much football. the silly sausages over there think that is a bad reflection on us. when its quite the opposite that one of their best players isn't even good enough for our team. said it all alone though he is an average player and we should have kept frei rather than loaning him in

looking at that picture showing subs etc reminded me I didn't like the Duff for Bent sub and felt Rodders could have come on before the 89th minute

The only thing I can find is this....which could be a complete rumor.  I think that he likes it here but has been unfit.  Take it with a grain of salt because it is from the QPHAHA forum...

In other news, is QPR signing Oguchi Onyewu??!

yes a little too negative for my liking. personally would have liked a kid on the bench as it was the ideal scenario to blood someone. or even give zverotic 10 mins at left back or right back.

like you I also rate him and really want to see him fit and playing BUT I think he will struggle with Ruiz and Berba being here, its a shame as I would have him as a starter in his RIGHT position when fit.

Got 3 games coming up in a week (Southampton away, Leicester away, Man. Utd home) so I'm assuming some squad players will have a look if. If they are as good as they think they are, a winning performance at Leicester would be fine and keep everyone interested. (would then be in the last 8-not too far away from a day trip to Wembley)

I am not sure about A.T, think he is a good player but he is not a team player too greedy and not sure why we have got him, I really don't think we need another flare player like that, would be glad to be proved wrong though!

Yeah I think he likes it here too - all indications is he wants to be on the best team as possible and playing the highest level of professional football, nothing more nothing less.

With that said, he is exciting and has some nice creative edge and could see him as a super sub role once fit.

When will be be fit?

As much as I like Ruiz I would like to see a front 4 of

Kasami Berbatov Taarabt
                 Bent

Rumor has it, he's been sent to a boot / health camp to help lose 2 stone. Nothing to do with him being unhappy at Fulham. If anything, he has expressed that he's happy to be away from the circus known as QPR and the clown Redknapp.

Same thing happened to one Danny Murphy when houllier told him to lose 1 stone. If I were making 4-5k a week, I could see my way to losing it.
