With Man U losing at home to the Toon, what do the other matches this afternoon have in store?
All underway now, apart from Sunderland v Spuds which is a 5.30pm KO.
All goaless so far...
Interesting to see that fresh from getting 3 red cards in their mid-week match, Blackpool had another two players sent off in their match earlier today against Derby...
But the manager is lovely and fluffy!
Palace 1 up - Jerome scored.
Citeh a goal up at Southampton. Aguero, of course...
And Chelsea a goal up at Stoke.
Norwich beating the Baggies...

Considering we win tomorrow that is, Palace beating Cardiff is possibly the best result we can hope for. If you look at the table and IF we beat Villa with results going for us, that drags another 5 teams into the mix. This really is in our hands now.
We want Palace and Cardiff to draw. Stoke are in big trouble too
Liverpool have gone a goal up against WHU. Own goal.
Crouch has equalised for Stoke.
Less than 3 points tomorrow and we'll be majorly adrift by Christmas. Fantastic.
And Osvaldo has made it all square at St Marys...
Looking bleak. May have got rid after Jol after 12 games by it may have been a few too late. Everton away and City at home that's another 2 games without a point.

what a goal too.....he hasn't done much for what they paid for him but that was fantastic
Liverpool 2 up now. Sakho.
Ireland has made it Stoke 2, Chelsea 1....
Phew... Chelsea have equalised. Could do with Stoke staying as close to us as possible...
Palace 2-0 :(
Comfortably 19th now.
Prefer that to a Cardiff win though. That would have widened the gap with the rest.
Pulis must be a good manager, he has even got chamakh scoring
Skrtel own goal makes it Liverpool 2, WHU 1...

True, but an equaliser would have been nicer.
Suarez makes it 3-1 to Liverpool.

A draw would still mean Palace go above us, but it would take Cardiff 5 points rather than 4 ahead of us.
Shame we have to have these sorts of discussions... I was hoping that this season it would be more around how we can close the gap on the top 6, rather than how we can get out of the bottom 3.
C'est la vie...

Suarez makes it 3-1 to Liverpool.
And Nolan has just been sent off.
4-1 Liverpool now.
Terry has wiped out Jon Walters & not even a free kick given & Walters booked while Terry laughed at him. Top 4 bias.

Amen to that.
To be fair, five or four points above us is irrelevant with our goal difference - both are two wins for us to go above them.
Whatever happens, happens, it doesn't change how important tomorrow is.... 049:gif
Norwich 2 up at the Hawthorns... Could have done with them losing/drawing that one.
Stoke 3-2.
Not going all that well today, eh.
Damn 3-2 Stoke
Bugger....
Tomorrow's game is even more important than it was already.

I've said a few times we can't look at the table just yet, but boy will we be screwed if we don't win.
You are right Matt. To a large degree it is irrelevant, we just need to start picking up points regardless of what is going on around us.
If we don't win tomorrow, we're bang in trouble, it's a simple as that.
Massive performance & result needed tomorrow.
Keep the faith y'all.
A change in fortunes is LONG OVERDUE.
We will CONTINUE with the fight and spirit we showed on Wednesday night.
We will WIN tomorrow.

Blimey...my glass has suddenly become half-full!
:wine:
Well like a hot knife thru butter we have been cut adrift. We could win tomorrow and still be in 19th behind Palace.
We really need all 3 points and I'd think/hope we'll be up for it. Every game is a cup tie it feels like almost with the miserable position we are in.
Then Everton away and Man city to look forward to which will be nice. Haven't won in the league at Everton since before the war (choose which one, I can't remember).

Oddly I'm confident about Everton away. More so than I am tomorrow.
It just seems right that new media darlings Everton will get complacent and come unstuck against us.
We waited too long to change things and deserve to be where we are. The club and the last manager destroyed all the good work that was done.
Saying that we have time and a huge struggle. But while it is possible we have hope. Something we haven't had for well over a year.
My stomach a-chundering as the Gods are conspiring agin us
This takes me back to 1968....

I know I was a pain in the ass then but surely I can be forgiven after all these years :dft011:
you have to give credit where it is due. Palace and Stoke and Norwich all performed well today.
Oh sh@@........ Sunderland 1-0 up
Get Dembele off .... Looks very poor
1-1 come on Spuds
Typical. Lloris cocked up for Sunderland´s goal. Couldn´t do that on Wednesday for us.
Thank the Lordy --- 1-2 now smash em all over the place with a few more goals.
Must say Spurts not playing with the same speed or intensity as Wednesday
Hey AVB its 18.45 subsoclock.... Get Townsend on
Spurs all over em .... So Sunderland bound to get the equaliser
i actually cheered when spurs scored , only because we are no longer last , i can go back to hating them now haha
Kyle Walker is an absolute beast...... Wish we had him
Dembele off Sandro on
Jeez Spurts ... You doing this purposely????
Ref just missed blatant handball and wasting chances a plenty... YOU NEED TO FINISH EM!!!
Hit the post again aghhhhhh
Sunderland lost and remain rooted to bottom.... and reassuringly worse than we were against Wet Spam
Feel a bit sorry for Sunderland........we know how it feels
If we can win by three clear goals tomorrow we can soar to the top of the relegation places.
Villa on a roll and massively dangerous on the break, it will just as difficult as Wednesday.
Don't feel sorry for Sunderland Tel we desperately need 3 teams below us
I just feel so depressed by it all. Sorry just still a bit down

You know when I feel down I think of my favourite things.
Tins of Roses and plenty of mince pies
Ignoring the football and all of Jols big lies
Brown baking potatoes with cheese melted in
These are a few of my favourite things.

Funny you should mention that as I've actually had a baked potato wth grated cheese on today and just had a mince pie!

Life seems so much better doesn't it?
What an equalizer by Everton!
