Parker nowhere to be seen
#FFC starting XI v Hull City: Stockdale; Zverotic, Hughes, Amorebieta, Riise; Dejagah, Sidwell, Karagounis, Kasami; Ruiz; Rodallega
Bettinelli, Kacaniklic, Richardson, Boateng, Riether, David and Bent all named on the bench.
Nice to see David on the bench. I'll be watching Ruiz's role with interest; starting/playing for the first time under Rene - has RM finally found a place for our 10 million pound man?
Are you kidding me? Ruiz is starting against a side who play with brutes in midfield.. I did not want to see Ruiz anywhere near the first team as we had found our rhythm
Every time i see Rene's team selection i think "what the hell"
but so far he's been right every game.
Where are Taraabt & Parker??
Most teams seem to be making wholesale changes today.

Completely agree. He's - thus far - been tactically sound.
I hope Tarbs and Parker are ok
Strange team. Lets just hope we get the 3 points!
Have a really bad feeling about today. I think we will hit the ground hard. Fulham never win 2 away games in a row. Really really hope I'm wrong!!
People moaning about the team, its called rotation. We played 2 days ago, need to use the squad.
Be interested to see how we line up with this team..
Kasami - Ruiz - Dejagah
Sidwell - Karagounis
??
Yes....interesting!
And starting Hugo, who I thought did quite well at Norwich, over Bent. Also, Kasami provides a goalscoring threat.

:plus one:
Anyone else think that Berba's prolonged 'injury' is a classic stalling tactic for a transfer?
If so, I do hope we have a replacement lined up.
generally, unless there are injuries would prefer to leave trying out new things to the cup game v Norwich.... saying that the fixtures list has been harsh and we do have important games at home coming up... COYW
in renee we trust he will pick a sronger team against west spam and put another nail in sams coffin
If ruiz plays well, and thats a big if, then this is a good team. Lets see.
Rene' has been tickling Bruce's balls all week, in regards to how good he is as a manager. Maybe he just fancies giving him 3 points to finish off the compliments?
I think today will be tough what ever side we could put together. But I thought the last two teams we put out were weak and they played well. Hope Rodders plays well today. Fact is Rene has made us worth watching again. So win or lose and I for one feel we can at least put in a performance.
Parker's out because he's on 4 yellow cards I he gets one more before the west ham game he will be suspended for it. I think taarabts just getting a rest
Weird line up, though I can understand why players were rested. Big big huge game for Ruiz. Wouldn't surprise me to see him go in January if he fails to impress today. Also big game for Rodallega. Would be nice to see David get on the pitch.

Makes sense. I think Sidders and Kara can do a good job to make up for this, plus Kasami will track back.
Interesting team for sure!
At least René realises how useless Bent is, I sincerely hope we are able to send him back in January.

Yes . I think we have seen the last of Berba
I suspect Demps is his short term replacement - though I personally would have liked to see a front 3 of
Demps - A motivated Berb and - Dejagah

to be fair, we have never played with decent wingers when bent has played. might be different with the likes of ashcan and taarabt bursting in the box and laying the balls off
is this
Stockdale; Zverotic, Hughes, Amorebieta, Riise; Dejagah, Sidwell, Karagounis, Kasami; Ruiz; Rodallega
Or
Stockdale;
Zverotic, Hughes, Amorebieta, Riise;
Kara
Sidwell, Kasami;
Ruiz , Dejagah ;
Rodallega

Could be a genuine injury, could be the fact that Rene' wants him fresh for both West Ham and Sunderland, could be that Fulham are keeping him out of the limelight leading up to the January transfer window. Me personally, I think we'll see Berbatov again.
I would rather play Parker even if he is on four yellows. He made the difference against Norwich, and of course, scored the winner. Surely we need to put our best team out. Hull are beatable but we need a leader in midfield. I was confident before I saw the team sheet!

What you calling this time? Remember you being spot on for the last game? Nugget.

We have a midfield leader in Kara .
Sadly though only for 60 mins
Boeteng should get his chance today
Parker and Reither missing, this does not generate confidence.

Nugget? That's so Northern.
Remember Parker took a knock late on against Norwich so may be hurt and in need of rest.

Boateng I'd say is more of a Sidwell replacement

Agreed. I must admit I was one of those who called for his permanent signing. How wrong I was.
A game before the January transfer window with a lot of players who may be looking for new jobs and other clubs, could turn out to be inspired... With the World Cup around the corner, every player has a point to prove and i reckon will be chomping at the bit to get a win in an important game for the club, but also for themselves. Will be interesting no doubt.

Not really. Sidwell is box-to-box, that's where he's most effective. Boateng sits back like a holding midfielder.

Dear lord I hope not. I'd sooner play Taarabt. Dempsey never impressed up front. We need him on the left where we've not really found our best player.

Boateng can't distribute the ball. He tackles players. So does Sidwell. Karagounis and Parker sit in front of the defense
Your formation is 4-1-4-1
Or 4-2-3-1. Either way Boateng can't spread the ball or play in their hole
Rosenior starts for Hull. He did make it to the Premier League.

hope that bites me :wine:
Very happy with this line up. We have an old squad and 2 games in 3 days is a ridiculous ask for even the fittest. We needed to rotate and give some of the squad players a chance to step up to the plate and earn their wages. It's for occasions like this that we have a full squad rather than just 11 players. Expecting big performances from Rod and Ruiz.
Yeah this is purely giving the older players a complete rest. It doesn't overly matter that we lose this as Wham drew they're still below us even if we lose and still only 3 points from getting out of the bottom 3 even if Palace win and we lose. So we can rest Parker and Reither for our very important home games that are must win rather than drawing them both.
