Title: Good opportunity for Sunderland tonight
Post by: SP on January 22, 2014, 07:55:21 PM
A trip to Wembley & be we'll & truly distracted from the league.  Not sure that's a plus?

In to extra time.... Should be knackered for Saturday... Shame it's a Cup weekend!
Maybe these games will eventually affect their legs though.
We need every tiny advantage

Tiresome game.  Major surprise after 9 minutes of extra time, Adam Johnson ran into the box & didn't dive theatrically to the ground.

No, but the other cheat Boroni has been at it all game.

He looks a decent player, doubt he'll be there next season.

What a special penalty shoot out. Wow.
Man Utd being called a shadow of their former selves is an understatement. Not many players in that starting 11 that the top 4 would fear.

Wouldn't say well done, both teams are awful at penalties. 7/10 penalties missed is poor to say the least.

If you were referring to the game preceding the shootout then yes, well played Sunderland. They were good value for money and didn't just roll over.

Didn't see the game but as a result this doesn't bode well for us. It will give Sunderland a big lift in their Premier League games. We need to pick up points. Only West Ham can be sure to finish below us.
