Title: Season Ticket
Post by: MichaelFFC on February 04, 2014, 02:58:12 PM
Since i stopped playing football in the summer, next season (regardless of the league we are in) i will be getting a season ticket. the only problem is, i will probably be getting one on my own as none of my friends are Fulham supporters.
Whats the advice on getting a season ticket on my own?

I did the same couple of years ago. Met up with good guy and his son, who are long standing season tkt holders in Hammersmith H5, where atmosphere  and view is good, with nice bunch of proper supporters around us.

Its nice to meet up with same crowd each visit, rather than sit alone and seeth. I'm sure we'll both renew whatever happens. If you'd like more details of where exactly we are, let me know.

Cheers

If I may make a suggestion it may be better nearer the back I made the mistake of getting a season ticket on my own and near the front in h4 and I always end up with different people sat around me every week I think theres 1 guy down the end of my row a chap behind me and an old couple a few rows down who are there every week but other than that I have noticed the crowd further back seems to be consistent so easier to make friends with fellow fulham fans.

Where we sit in H6 is good as well and like millsy more than happy to let you know where I sit - go on my own but sit next to pal I met at Fulham 40 or so years ago! Guy from our village also goes to most games so occasional car share which helps. Drive from Sussex and pre-match in Half Moon! Not sure I agree with at the back (tried back row for a few years) 2/3 of the way up gives a much better view.

Was just wondering, does season ticket holders, choose seats freely for each mach? (choose seast wich are designated seats ofcourse) or do they get one seat for the whole season?

Buy 3. Sit in the middle.

I have two on the end of a row, the seat next to must be owned by a season ticket holder who doesn't turn up to matches. Often I have an empty seat next to me apart from the popular matches where it is filled by an away fan.

Bear in mind you may have to sit next to somebody you don't like every match with a season ticket.

I may get a membership next year.

Decide which area you'd want to be in  -  Hammersmith End/Putney/JH or Riverside and roughly where.  Then post on here asking to contact those with seats there.  Meet up for a drink and choose who you'd want to be near (and who you'd want to avoid!).

I done this two years back. It's alright, I lived 2 hours away so the journey there and back was a bit of a pain, and I was 16/17, so I couldn't socialise in any pubs.

If you get into a routine of going to the pub, chatting to some people before and after, and then having a laugh with the people around, I'm sure it's good. I enjoyed myself that year on my own.

There is the rub of course. You never know who is going to be nearby .................................... watching
