Agreed, couldn't understand why we didn't play today as well. Unless the club were more interested in the TV cash perhaps. I really dunno how that all works though.

There is plenty of time to recover, physically. the problem comes if there are any injury problems and that is unlikely to be sorted out with an extra day

How is it unfair? its football and we have to deal with it!!

For about 3 years on the trot our final game of the season (looking lime we could be relegated) was against the FA cup finalists meaning the opposition played a weakened team. Hands up who wrote to the FA complaining?

The fixture list is done by computer, these two involving
us moved because of tv..And it is unfair they have a day extra
If players have niggling injuries to get over it..Simple.

There have been games where we have had the extra games rest and ballsed it up anyway so whats the excuse for that? We rested our team in the FA cup games and we hardly shone after those games!!

We have sports science boys to condition the lads, I'd like to think that our lads will be full of adreniline as they are fighting for their lives. Using the excuse of one days rest is lame IMO

WHAT IF AND WHY GO NOWT TO DO WITH IT..
Simple facts are If Suarez and Sturridge have niggling
Injuries (using threm as example) and Mitroglou and Holtby
have the same..The Liverpool guys have an extra day to get
Over them...

We play in the football league and abide by the rules they set down.

We also get shed loads of money for playing on the TV. I am sure the club have the chance to decline TV games, but at the moment, the club need all the money they can get.

Anyway, since we are playing on a Sunday, doesn't that mean we got an extra days rest since the last game ;-)

There is some truth to that but equally it gives the players another day to brood over yet another inept, confidence-sapping shambles...

I don't think it's the Liverpool game we want the extra rest for.

And I suggest if you are upset by it, write to the club and tell them next time, decline the TV match and you will make up the shortfall in revenue.

Sorry if I woke you up but with the way we are playing compared to the way Liverpool are playing is one day really going to make that much difference?

its quite clear, the deal states BT and or Sky choose the games the clubs then have to play at those times. you cannot say i am not playing my league game on that date etc, all clubs agree to it thats just the way it is

If we're not blaming referees, we're blaming Sky  fp.gif

Well, it's a nice break from blaming Wilkins  :Happy New Year 2:

It might work in our favour. Less time for Liverpool to savour their win before acknowledging our astute tactics against Manure and planning their options of counteraction.
