now god forbid if we were to go down (not that i believe we will) how long you reckon it would take us to come back up again? i mean, of course, it would depend on how many players stay with us but can you see our record signing playing in a godforsaken stadium on a wednesday night?
you look at some of the clubs that have been relegated like wolves, sheffields, blackburn, leeds, bolton, barnsley and many others. they are now in no man's land. no direction, no vision. just vegetative state existence. dont wanna be like that. please lord let us stay up.
I fear if we go down it could be a couple of years.
Statistically since 1995 only 8 teams that have gone down have come straight back up via an automatic spot, not sure how many have come straight back up via the playoffs, but that in itself is a lottery.
If we could manage to convince the first team squad to stay we would have a good shot at an automatic spot. But alas I don't think they would stay.
