Title: Joke?
Post by: Yamus on February 27, 2014, 10:29:47 AM
One day a man decided to wash his own sweatshirt.
'What setting do I use on the washing machine?' He yell's to his wife from the kitchen.
'It depend's', she shouted back, what does it say on your shirt?.
'Chelsea',he replied.
Are you not glad you support Fulham.

Must admit to taking a few seconds to get it, then realised that it is a clever, funny joke - lol!

I don't get it either.  Is this line part of the joke and, if so, who is saying it  -  the man or his wife ?

Those who do not get the joke should ask their mothers to explain it.

No, it's not. "C*****a" is the punchline. Try again without the final line.

Come on guys. Clothes have a label which tells you what setting to wash it on.

He instead reads Chelsea, thus confirming himself as an idiot... Although some of the responses suggest it could well read Fulham.  :hook:

That just proves that punctuation and layout go a long way where written communication is involved.

A few blank lines after the joke and then the 'blue' line in brackets (and with a question mark) might have avoided the confusion.  Better still, the Fulham comment should have been omitted altogether.

If you have to explain it to them it means only one thing, they are thick! :005: :hook:
