Title: Who will replace Holtby
Post by: The Swan on April 06, 2014, 09:40:17 PM
When we play Spurs, Holtby won't be able to play for us. Who will replace him as I think he is one of our star players . We will miss his energy and skill.

Hadn't thought of that actually. Think we may see Kasami in his role or maybe at a longshot Pat Roberts come in. With Magath you never know.

Kasami would be best in that role, however, he has shown in the past few games that he is a little selfish with his final ball. that being said I would still give to Kasami with Paddy Roberts on as his replacement.

I think we pack the midfield, something like this:

-------------------------Stockdale-------------
Reither--------Heitinga-----------Hangeland------Amorebieta
--------------------------Diarra------------
---------------Parker/Kvist------Sidwell---
Dejagah------------------------------------------Richardson
-------------------------Whoever

Kasami at CF/CAM is a far far better than Kasami on the wing.

Kasami or maybe the forgotten man Karagounis.

This looks solid to me. And please humor me by adding Mitroglou up front. The big man to score a hatrick against spurs!

I can't look beyond Norwich. We really MUST win that one. It won't be easy, but we can do it.

Georgious Giorgos may well be back from injury and could manage half a shift

How are people saying Kasami, he's been terrible recently.
Admittedly he's been playing out on the wing (which is crazy, he has zero pace or skill, would much prefer kaca if he's not gonna start richardson/dejagah on the wing), but even in CAM I can't seem him doing a lot.

I'd prefer we gave David a shot

Kasami is the man I reckon.

Messi would make a terrible goalkeeper but that doesn't make him a bad player. He played that position at Palace and we all know what happened.

Gotta be Kasami.  The first few games of the season he showed a good vision with his passes.  I think in the second half of the season he's been trying to do too much.  But he's still the best in that role, I think.

I wouldnt mind seeing Tankovic play there but with his contract running down, Felix seems to have a lot of time for him

Yeah Tankovic won't play for us again unfortunately.... Shame as he looked pretty decent
