The man we have been linked with for at least the last 3 transfer windows has signed a 3 year deal at Stoke

Can't say I'm too distraught, a decent enough player on his day but not for me.
Those Journalists are always spot on! 064.gif
Not the greatest maybe, but a decent, reliable player and given the dire form of our two regular full backs during the season a fairly major improvement on both of them. Had we managed to sign him last summer it would surely have strengthened our defence sufficiently to have made a tangible difference to our season.
Some of the rumoured signings this time last year such as Bardsley and Huddlestone would have made a huge difference to our squad unlike Tarrabt, Parker and Bent.

The press last summer said we failed to sign Huddlestone as Hull offered 500k more, not sure whether that was in wages or fee but on reflection it may have been 500k well spent as he was certainly worth 6-7 points to Hull.

............but Hull didn't have Jol as their Manager :dead horse:
If we had signed Bardsley & Huddlestone instead of Riether & Parker I believe we would have stayed up.
He is a good signing for Stoke
