The mighty liverpool have only had 3 players in their history that have played in a world cup final whilst being a liverpool player. That seems very low for such a big club.
Am i right in thinking george is our only finalist. Moore, riedle, heitinga, stek dont count. Be quite incredible if ruiz became our second. Id be pleased for costa rica and i suppose him to a certain extent but it seems highly unlikely.

When you think about it how many brazilians, italians, germans, argentines, would of played in england all them years ago. Not many so maybe 3 is the most.

ok so only petit and viera played for france in 98 and henry in 2006 plus they had rvp and cesc fabregas in 2010. so thats 5 recently. chelsea would have had more than 3 too as they had a lot of those french boys. gallas desially makelele frank lebeouf

Lebeouf definitely chelsea but did desially play for them then? Gallas nevwr played and i think deschamps was signed as a result of the 98 world cup but i could be wrong.

gallas played in 2006 final. And signed for arsenal straight after.

I was thinking of 98, yeah he must of played in 06. Did barthez play in 06? Schiemcal or however you spell it was at united in 98 and van der sar had signed from us by then so i doubt barthez counts anyway?
