Dont watch a lot of TV but this has been superb from the start, final episode
on BBC 2 tonight..The lead actor deserves an award for his portrayal of Tommy.
Brilliant Stuff...Love the haircuts too...
Agreed, superb, you never know which way the story is going to unfold (a little like watching our beloved FFC)
Final episode of the second series tonight, really hope that there is another series
Makes me break out in sweats thinking of the Brummies I used to argue with when we were able to stand @ the Putney End, suppose they had been Peaky Blinders....
Agreed Think several of the actors have been in Hollywood films - the Tommy guy was scarecrow in Batman - Tom Hardy and Sam Neil have several film credits and the females in the series are serious stage actresses Class will tell - a superb production but very violent.
I found it a bit clunky to start and the music (though I love nick cave) was intrusive. But as its gone on I've become totally hooked and think it is superb. Cillian Murphy and Sam Neill are brilliant
I thought he was dead man at the end, didnt see that finale coming.
Oddly although I watch and enjoy it. I DID think it was all a bit predictable. Even the ending was a bit obvious and a bit too easy.
No spoilers please guys !
I'll be starting to watch the first series soon.
On Netflix it's possible to see the complete first series,
so we (me and the missus) can binge watch.
Hopefully season 2 comes out soon and we can do another
binge thingy like we've done with
Breaking Bad = 5 series in 2 weeks
Sons of Anarchy
Hell on Wheels
Boardwalk Empire
Orange is the new black
Orphan black
Once Upon a time
Revenge
House of cards
etc.etc
Just finished BBC's Happy Valley which was very good
Sorry didn't mean to give anything away. Not sure the space ship and the vampire will come as that much of a shock in Peaky Blinders, oh I have done it again.
rogerpinvirginia all those you list are very good. Despite Orphan black being on the BBC I missed it and had to use Netflix or Amazon Prime to catch up.
For those interested. A third series has been commissioned by the BBC.
