Such a class act. What I wouldn't give to have him up top one more time

Even after his time out of the game i would still put him in before Rodellega.

The choice between a snapper-up of chances and a squanderer.

He is a class act.

Its embarrassing to say but I don't know of any English players that could talk so eloquently for 22 minutes.

Brian was such a terrific ambassador for his country. Plus he was one of the best headers of a ball who I have ever seen play for Fulham. I will never forget that shot at Reading during our great escape that nearly broke their cross bar. Manager material? Top man.  :Haynes The Maestro:

The way Hugo has been performing i would take the Johnny Haynes statue over Hugo.

Yes he was brilliant

Manager material - has he done his coaching qualifications? Has he looked after youth teams for over 10 years? Has he man-management skills ?

Just asking

The word 'class' might have been invented for McBride.

I was going to write - Great and well-deserved award. Pity about the jacket. But Brian beat me to it.

Can we not have even a single thread appreciating a former Fulham player without some people availing themselves of the opportunity to trash a current player? Way to crap all over McBride's memory.

Fell over laughing with this.  McBride is why I love FFC.  He is a top act and really wish he was up top again for us.

Living legend. Would love to see him take a position in the USMNT setup if not FFC. Hell of a nice guy.

One of the things he got involved in shortly after retiring, was specialty coaching of strikers. American coaches are great at the team concept, but we don't develop world-class strikers because strikers have to have a huge selfish streak -- although Brian was never selfish on the pitch. I haven't heard much of this endeavor in the last year or so, but I hope it succeeds. Imagine sending your son to a camp where he could get 1 on 1 instruction from McBride.

Wow.
