I'm old enough to remember when england set the standard in one day cricket. this current team is desperately poor.
Did we ever really 'set the standard' in limited overs cricket? Regardless of whether we did - which I'd dispute anyway - we're now light years behind the rest
Nothing short of a disgrace
Bit like Fulham really - couldn't beat an egg!
Useless......Just Useless.

Couldn't beat a carpet, it seems you get selected depending on which University you went to.
I long for the days of Freddie Truman and Ray Illingworth.

How old are you.....125?
He may be 125 but at least he's not out
I don't think that England have ever really taken one-day seriously, or ever been that good at it. Many people still see it as the new version (it hasn't been around that long, maybe 1970s) and thus inferior to real cricket.
IMHO, the cricket world cup should be played as 5-day games - and in whites.
It really doesn't bother me that we're cr@p at this dumbed-down version of the beautiful game.
