Title: McCormack
Post by: Jimpav on April 15, 2015, 10:10:27 PM
Surely our best "big money" striker. If it wasn't for his goals we would have been condemned by now.

He will be putting a transfer request in this summer, you can bank on it.

Agree he's been one of our saving graces this season.  Him and Betts.

I agree and who could blame him. Can imagine him signing for a PL side given half a chance.

he's been well worth the outlay this season in terms of goals and assists. Imagine him with a decent team behind him.

How can you put a price for what he's done for us?

Agreed.  Would we have paid the fee to avoid relegation.....absolutely.  That is pretty much what he has meant to us.

I said that on here around Christmas time. There is no way he deserves to playing in a team like ours, and out of position for that matter, and if his agent hasn't already got clubs lined up then he simply isn't doing his job (no matter how much I think of agents and their morals!).

Think that he has saved us this season but I would sell him in an instant if someone offered us the money we paid (not the reported fee)

For me he lacks pace and if we play Smith we are 1 dimensional ie knock it long & hope for a knock down. I would prefer to see a more mobile front line. And mid field. And some natural width. Tunnicliffe, Hoogland & Ruiz today out wide with 2 full backs that never overlapped. We might as well play 4-0-6 with Ross standing next to Smith

No chance he's coming here.

Too highly rated.

I personally would never sell McCormack. He reminds me of Teddy Sherringham. Scores a lot of goals, but also does a hell of a job for the team.

He is easily our best player and should be played as a CF.

With a better MF and manager he'd be top scorer in the league again

Agree with a strong good team around him he would be knocking them in all the time and be leading the charge for us.  Really hope we do some incredible things is the summer and are able to keep him.

We can dream but throw enough money around and people will soon look at you in more favourable light

To be fair, he's knocked a couple of them in this season.

So that allows him to damage the paintwork on the roof of the stand for how long?

This summer is vital.

We have to show him we mean business next season and we are going to recruit the right type of players.

He's an outstanding forward, and has a complete game. Scores, creates, works hard.

Tremendous signing.

I agree.

But that's because I like my centre forwards to be in and around the goal mouth to knock them in.
