Title: Dear Moderators
Post by: nose on May 08, 2015, 02:50:33 PM
Has my thread re polling results and PR been moderate?

I had thought it was general enough not to cause offence or start a free for all and was more of a shared observation.

It is the closed season or should I say the cut and paste season - original works are not allowed  051

Is that the one I commented on?

I'm sorry if it resulted in your thread getting "yanked"

I don't quite recall what you said but i didn't see anything that could have been construed as causing offence.

Every day I see properly offensive stuff and some people using unfortunate language but I will abide by the moderators... it's just nobody has told me why it has disappeared, it might just be a technical issue for all I know.

Yes Nose it was removed by one of the other mods. There have been others removed so dont take it personally. FOF has a no politics policy because it can easily lead to unnecessary arguments. That doesnt mean yours would have done but we cant pick and choose which ones to moderate. The occasional post hidden in a thread might go under the radar but we try to remove all politics related topics.

I was obviously the first one to come across this question so dont shoot the messenger lol. Hopefully Fulham sign a player or two soon and give us something else to keep us occupied now the season is over.

Sorry that you wasn't told, probably because so many are being removed recently what with the election

Thank you for your reply
It is a first for me to be silenced
I am almost thinking i will have to start a new ruiz or even clint dempsey thread just to release the build up of pressure.... maybe not that is more toxic than politics....

i am already bored with no football, except alloa in the play offs

I know, it's too much for us ex-pats to keep an eye on UK politics.
Nice to see Maggie Thatcher was re-elected

I will be complaining to the Mods about two things. One is removing a post I didn't have a chance to see and complain about. And this post which clearly has become political.

But will Symons still be able to command a majority. He has given the players the Summer fitness cards, If you haven't received yours yet. You aint coming back.

I apologize if removing this caused an issue, I'll hold my hands up.

I did remove it because of the Proportional Representation issue being addressed, as this always seems to bring out the 'party lines' and includes those from all parties.

Nose, I promise to PM you next time I 'yank' you, so to speak, as Dannyboi mentioned, it was nothing personal, there ahve been other threads removed both overnight and today regarding the election as well.

Burt & Admin have put me in charge of member retention for FOF. You'll all be getting your fitness letter by months end. As a hint, if you started a "Kit out" thread you will reassigned to Milwall and if you EVER took Roger seriously, you will be required to use the word soccer whenever referring to football.

As a side note PM me with any monetary influence.

i have heard from the mods and after a great deal of thought and due consideration I reviewed my position and thought of the great british public and what they mean to me and whgat i owe them.

i considered all the pros and the cons and what i bring to the party and have decided to accept their descision without mention of ruiz or clint dempsey.

I have not seen the error of my ways at all.... in fact, wait for it, I think my thread was 'perfectly reasonable' and not political in so far as it was not party political, but rather a discussion re the voting system and pointing out we have a system that FIFA would be proud of, so to speak.

What i have done is accept that the mods are sticking to their own rules as governing this MB and therefore depriving you all of my wisdom......
