Title: Our manager next year ...
Post by: colinwhite on May 08, 2015, 08:01:36 PM
I am prepared to give my 100 per cent support for as long as it takes next year to whoever our manager next year is . I am in favour of getting in a better ,more experienced manager than KS , but if it IS going to be him then I think the club must come out into the open confirm it and end all the speculation .

To be fair they aren't talking about him NOT being there next season. Indeed everything they are putting out seems to suggest it is a given that Kit will be manager.

No but the speculation out there is rife and they are allowing Kit to give out the message that he is our man next year , So if there is no truth in it then say so or tell kit to lay low whilst the club reviews the situation . Either way the clubs decision makers are not communicating clarity at this point .

Could just simply be the people that they are interested in are still in job until the end of the season and haven't had a chance to discuss matters with them so letting Kit carry on in case they can't agree terms and look daft and have no one.

Kit will start as manager next season.

Why should the club come out and say so.

Do all clubs announce that there present manager will be manager again next season ?

"end all of the speculation"

Who - except people who cut and paste onto threads like this - is doing all the speculating?

I am not aware of speculation being cut and pasted anywhere else

For me, Khan has to give the postmortem on the season at some point soon. Perhaps we'll have an overt reference to the management position then or some hints will be given.

Speculation about the position will only grow the longer the club go without addressing it in some way. We didn't perform well at all this season. The talk and rumor spreading is a natural thing in this business.

some defenceive organisation and sound tactics for one. If he stays, maybe we will get lucky and shad will buy us a squad twice as good as anyone else's. That way we might win a few despite kit

Why do the club need to do anything - their position was, is and has been - Kit is the Manager and we are preparing for the next season

If they are going to take the knife to him they are certainly not going to tell anyone until it is firmly embedded between his shoulder blades

I am sure that idea has already crossed SK's mind - he's doing much the same thing (building a new team) in Jacksonville

The changes made in the boardroom would indicate that a top down master plan is under-way.

would have been 5 0 to borough if kit were in charge at brentford. Not that kit will ever get a team near the play offs anyway

Did you make that score up or did you use Football Manager

Anyway he's not managing Brentford and neither will Warburton be after the end of the month

I am prepared to give my 100 per cent support for as long as it takes next year to whoever our manager next year is . I am in favour of getting in a better ,more experienced manager than KS , but if it IS going to be him then I think the club must come out into the open confirm it and end all the speculation .

"end all of the speculation"

Who - except people who cut and paste onto threads like this - is doing all the speculating?

I am not aware of speculation being cut and pasted anywhere else
talksport for one

lol - you mean the only one?

They are all paid to make things up - it is an industry
plus shad keeps talking of promotion. Which instantly rules kit out.

Has SK ruled Kit Out?

I've not seem that cut and pasted any where
no, but crap managers don't win promotions

lol - I've seen that comment cut and pasted a lot on this board

He was given a hand to play and had to pick a team from the players Felix left behind - what outcome were you expecting from him
some defenceive organisation and sound tactics for one. If he stays, maybe we will get lucky and shad will buy us a squad twice as good as anyone else's. That way we might win a few despite kit

I am sure that idea has already crossed SK's mind - he's doing much the same thing (building a new team) in Jacksonville

The changes made in the boardroom would indicate that a top down master plan is under-way.
I hope shad is watching the play off game. Warburton is showing what a decent manager can do with a team

Brentford 1 - 2 Middlesbrough

Perhaps better if he wasn't?

would have been 5 0 to borough if kit were in charge at brentford. Not that kit will ever get a team near the play offs anyway

Fulham and Kit 3  Boro 2
Brentford and Warburton 1  Boro  2

My new suggestion is for us to go on a diet - one week with no KIT OUT threads

No one has anything new to say and the mods are not merging repetitive threads because it is the closed season

I'm sure the Brentford Chairman isn't loony, and it is worth looking at his companies' websites.

Apart from the odd dabble on Fulham matches, I don't bet on football, only horse races, but Benham's approach to football betting strikes me as extremely rigorous and in a way akin to Guy Ward's ("The Mathematician") approach to backing horses - innovative and successful.

Whether the approach can be used as the basis for the successful management of a football club, as distinct from assessing good betting opportunities, is another matter, but at least the chap has a thought-through idea he wants to try and is using his own money to test it in practice.

Brentford and Warburton 1  Boro  2
we have a better squad than brentford though so we should be beating them. And you must be off your rocker if you think kit is better than anyone let alone warburton

I'm getting lazy so I cut and pasted this from another thread

Why on earth do you want Warburton, even Brentford don't want him
brentford play good football, made the play offs with a weak squad, and he is far superior to kit in every way. And it's only the looney chairman that doesn't want him. Why would you want kit to stay after seeing what he has to offer is what I put to you

I'm getting lazy so I cut and pasted this from another thread

Why on earth do you want Warburton, even Brentford don't want him

P.S. - I have never said I wanted Kit to stay - you made that up - I'm just fed up of reading the same comments every day on multiple threads

So to make your feelings known YOU make the same comments in thread after thread and YOU are now are cutting-and-pasting those same comments from thread to thread.

No sense of incongruity then.

Thank goodness. A totally original thread with something new to say on Kit Symons. For a minute I thought the 324 threads that preceded this one would be the last we would ever read on the subject.

I for one am sick of the club not coming out and saying that they are going to employ Kit or an man with a health problem or a man with little more experience and little experience of bringing and signing players than Kit has.

The fans deserve to speculate and say the same things over and over again until the club can be bothered to tell us what they may have already told us but I was too busy speculating to bother to read it.

With regards to the Kit Out topic, I read the same comments on every thread - the only unique thing is the subject title

Now I am sure a lot of people take the trouble to type out what they have to say every time they post buy what they have to say changes very little

I take the modern approach and just cut and paste - saves me having to type it out every time

I think kit is in. My opinion is no longer relevant as I have agreed to not mention it again. I no longer care as what is IS. I think the kit out and ins should just wait and see. I've given in to whoever starts deserves support no? Those that do or Don't are all on the same side anyway. Good luck and COYW!!!

but surely a good manager with little experience is better than a bad manager with little experience

We will just have to be patient and wait for the Season to close, and then maybe just maybe we may get some news.

The answer is simple gents.

If they are going to replace Kit and the manager they want is still playing (West Ham/Brentford), why sack him now? You can't sack Kit, then have Big Sam or Warburton back out last minute and be left with no one. If they were targeting another manager that isn't still playing, the deal would have been done and dusted.

Be patient. Wait for the season to come to a close across the board.

Just to end this . This was in no way a Kit out thread Roberty . Read the orginal post next time before you get all hot under the collar . The point that I am making is that hopefully there is a plan in place and ok once the premier league season is finished the club should make a statement ASAP about who is going to be in charge . New players are going to be less likely to comet the club if they think KS has got the first 10 games and then well see. You don't have to be especially smart to work out that Kit will soon be on his way if he were to continue and we didn't get off to a good start. Cut and paste that so you remember my point and don't go off at a tangent . My original point was that I was also fed up with speculation and answers would be better. So you are wrong in my veiw the club totally owes it to the fans to let us know what the hell is going on .
