Fof are without Black white and fred for this encounter as he nurses the pain of his job getting in the way. Fulhaman is also out at the last minute with a suspected hangover. With riether lightning and joseffc also still out.
In their place making debuts are newly signed duo Admin (keeper) and FulhamBen who is likely to play the Parker role. Other than that its unchanged from our first game, Jonaldinho, ffc2004, rweller86 and captaining the side today dannyboi.
Welling have 7 players to our 6 which should prove testing to our fitness but with a full pre season behind us hopefully we will have enough.
The teams are just arriving ahead of what should be an entertaining encounter. Kickoffs at 2pm and we will bring you live updates right here on Friends of Fulham.

Many thanks to those who turned up today, including the Welling Fans forum who were a great bunch. It's not easy coming from the other side of London, especially on a Sunday, so a big shout to our lot dannyboi, Admin, FulhamBen, Jonaldinho, ffc2004, rweller86 and also Syd Cupp for setting everything up.
FOF only had 6 players, Welling 7, who looked liked they'd played together before, but was suprised how quick the FOF team gelled and knocked the ball around well.
First half finished 3-3, not a lot between the 2 sides, but Welling managed to make their chances count, FOF didn't after fluffing a good 5-6 chances.
After a positive half time talk, FOF came out the much better side, making each and every chance count this time and really stretching the Welling team.
I'm pretty sure the final score was 9-4 to FOF and not 10-5 that was originally quoted.

Well done to the lads, too tired to write up a proper report lol but I will do my best. Basically we were never behind in the game. We scored then they scored with it 3-3 at half time. They equalised dead on half time thanks to possibly the worst freekick ever taken by....yes you guessed it me!
But the lads kept their heads up and we run away with the second half. Both their goals were mere consolations and didnt have much significance when they went in as we were cruising.
It helped that no one had a bad game and we were well organised and committed. There was one chance they had where they went to shoot centrally a few yards outside the box and all 4 of us slid in and collided with eachother putting our bodies on the line. In typical fulhamish fashion the ball rebounded to one of their players in acres of space and he tapped it in with all 4 of us still trying to get off the floor.
Admin made some excellent saves throughout and really kept us in the game. Like I said no one had a bad game but the standout player was Rweller86 who was man of the match scoring 4 screamers a couple of which came at vital times in the game.
Syd cupp played for us to make it 7 players each and bagged a tap in. The addition of FulhamBen helped playing that Parker role and Jonaldinho and ffc2004 were quality as always.
We even received a little trophy for our triumph courtesy of Welling which was a nice touch. Funny that we waited 2months for ours and Fulham are ......well......still waiting.
Just like to say a massive thankyou to Welling United Fans Forum who made the day fantastic. Everyone was very friendly and fair, in fact both teams were so easy going that it probably didnt even need a ref. Big thankyou to our very own Syd Cupp who helped arrange it superbly with me. Another big thankyou to my team mates who make such a big effort travelling across London.
I know some people find it hard to find time to meet fellow fofers but I strongly recommend giving it a go. I have met so many great people through Fof who have now become my mates. These days are great fun even if we lose just because they are top people.

Thanks a lot Danny and Syd cup. Great day out. A win always helps. Fulhamben deserves an additional thank you for bringing my hanging ass to the game. Nice to grab a beer with the lads after. Shame welling couldn't all join us (underage). Welling were great and it was a feel good game all around. I now have a second team to follow. I think my performance has not been bigged up more. Scored the first and ran the game mainly whilst on the bench haha. I'm the handsome one missing from the photos.

I do think they scored 5 but in the final few minutes the game was over and I think even the ref switched off a bit. I am pretty confident it was 10-5. No way we only scored 8. They are trying to make it look better lol.

I have to say welling united made this day brilliant. Their players were the same level and lovely blokes. I didn't see a nasty tackle or deision contested. A really nice bunch that could have beat us on another day. It's obviously been fun winning but I'd lose with a smile on my face if they beat us. I would recommend anyone who doesn't know get to know welling as they seem like a great club and they have a new fan in me.
