Thank god! Hopefully it'll be like buses, and three signings will show up by the end of the week!

I just pray Ream's arrival doesn't spell a drop from Dan Burn to the reserves again; he doesn't deserve that...

Hope so, and also hope it's the last we see of Bodurov. We now just need to sign another centre back, and then Hutch and Burn can be back up only.

Why do we give players like this four year contracts - why not three with option for an extra or just 3 outright.

He's the weakest out of the three we were linked with and is old, and if we're intending on having any ambition to progress up the league into the premiership we will probably be bringing in other players over time to improve on him... Seems like settling for mid table in a long term plan.

Good, glad we've gotten this over the line.

Need some strength in depth an options, the fact this boy improves our CB and LB options is a plus for me.

Because we all know the trouble we have with players in their last year. If he turns out good we can get more for him if he has some years left on his contract. If he is not so good he didn´t exactly cost a fortune.

Old? He is 27? For a CB...these next 5-6 years are the best years of a CBs career?

As for being the weakest of the 3...that is debatable...Dunk is a totally different sort of player...Ream is without a question more technically gifted than the others.... he is just not a big rangey CB...

Ream will help keep possession at the back instead of resorting to lumping balls forward....he will pair nicely with either Hutch or Burn

What we've been asking for - a warm welcome to him - do hope this may be the start of shoring-up our defence & combating that dreadful goal difference over the past couple of years.

what the worse of the 3 C.Hs ,negative posts on this board is incredible,3 games in and its started already the constant negative posting next itll be kit out on match days it really amazes me that people  can get like this after a fraction of games played.

Welcome aboard Tim.  Experience at PL and Championship and a leader as well.  Valuable addition to our squad and with four years someone we can get used to being around for a while.

I think he'll be a decent acquisition.

Hopefully to cover left back short term and steady central defence up longer term.

And we have a good history with Yank players - bar Eddie Johnson!

Unless we get Dunk and Tankovic, and Ream is backup, then this is a mistake...
Title: Re: Ream signs

Why is this a mistake?  You think our defense is not immediately improved with this signing?

Ream > Bod - yes (who started recently)
Ream > Voser - yes (who started recently)
Ream > Burn - Probably, but who knows as burn is for unknown reasons buried on the bench.
Ream > Hutch - Perhaps, Hutch last year yes.  New and improved Hutch - remains to be seen.

Ream is a two time fan voted player of the year there.  That means he has to put in a shift and give effort....fans don't take lightly to players that don't work hard or make stupid mistakes regularly.  I fail to see where good work ethic and PL experience is a bad thing or a mistake given the defense we have signed.  Ream starting improves us now.  If he settles on the left, he can be a long term player there for us potentially, as Garbutt is only a loan.   Does he make us top 6, no.  Is this a huge improvement to the back line...I think so.

On what ground can you possibly stand with a statement like this? Two time player of the year (fans vote) and a player with PL and Championship experience, who also mind you is entering his prime playing days at 27 years old. Give the lad a shot.
