Unlike our board theirs had a plan. They wasted no time appointing a quality manager.

Don't underestimate Alan Irvine as number two. They were appointed together and although not the greatest manager, he is a well respected coach.

Very shrewd, quick, decisive action taken from owners I believed were clowns compared to ours.

At least we're not managerless. .............. fp.gif

Both us and QPR were managerless when Blackburn appointed him.

Surely Blackburn would have been the least attractive of the three of us in terms of location, squad, salary etc.

Don't forget Blackburn are also still run by the Venky's, hardly a stable club themselves.

Suggests us and QPR didn't want him for some reason, e.g., silly wages, total autonomy...

Are the Venky's that bad ??  They'll let him be manager and do what he wants....   Sure the Venky's have not piled the cash in, but the club is stable enough and has a good yound manager with a proven track record.  We've got a ridiculous structure in place that I believe has ultimately put the likes of Lambert and Pearson off !
