..."In a shock move Martin O'Neill resigned from Aston Villa, a close friend of O'Neill suggests that he has been targetted by Kenny Huang and the China Investment Company to be the next manager of Liverpool Football Club.

Mr Huang's consortium feel that the recent appointment by the current board of new manager Roy Hodgson doesn't have the sufficient dynamic image they require to enhance the global brand they want to promote Liverpool Football Club as. In addition they feel that O'Neill will attract more high profile players to come to Anfield...

An Insider exclusively reported that members of the consortium were surprised that Mr Hodgson seemed to be going for the same transfer targets as he went for at his previous club. 'We really should be aiming higher than Young and Crouch.' Said someone close to the Insider.

Roy Hodgson said he knew nothing about the latest rumours and dismissed them by saying he was proud to be Liverpool Manager and was looking forward to the new season. A spokesman for AL Fayed, Roy Hodgsons chairman at Fulham, said that Mr Al Fayed wished Mr Hodgson would get everything he deserved.

Reportedly, O'Neill will also be joining Rula O'Lenska, George O'Galloway, Pete O'Burns, and Faria O'Alam with Sven-Goran (sans umlaut) O'Eriksson for Channel 4's Return to Celebrity Big Brother--Footballer's & Freaks edition.

Martin O'neil has resigned from AVFC to become the director of football at Spurs just to keep an eye on the money situation as they are worried about Harry Redknapp getting his hands on it just like he did at Portsmouth  :011:
