The French are there for the taking but the game tomorrow is going to be very tough. Been watching Iceland and they are very solid. We should get through but it could be a long evening.
Glad to see that it isn't only the Fulham Yanks rooting for England and Roy. It's pretty much unanimous over here -- unlike the constant drumbeat of negativity towards the players and Roy's decision-making.

don't think the formation and chopping and changing helped at all. Comes to something when you get to the knock out and no one can guess who he will pick and what formation

The reason these players look good in the premier league is because they're surrounded by other top class European/world class players.
England players aren't anywhere near good enough to perform at this level, which isn't just a knee jerk reaction to tonight's result, we simply don't produce enough world class players.
None of our players play at other top European clubs, no other top foreign clubs want them!
As long as we continue to fill the premier league with imported talent, we'll continue to play poorly in tournaments.

I agree.
Apart from Vardy, Rashford and Smalling the rest could not even do the simple things like pass the ball to our players, control the ball or make themselves available. I would expect more effort and creativity in the first practice match of the season at Motspur Park.

Surely it is inconceivable that Hodgson, Neville and hundreds of back room staff including scouts would not have properly prepared the players. Roy was meticulous at FFC, training the back four relentlessly
It has to be down to the players pathetic performance
However.....selection by Roy was poor - Wilshere ? instead of Drinkwater - Rooney not suitable captain either
