Title: Old Sod's Army-BT nostalgia trip.
Post by: bog on September 18, 2016, 08:18:21 PM
I may be a bit behind everyone else here...ie I only found out last year that we had switched to decimal currency. They would not give me change for my 10 shilling note. Anyway for those who have BT. I went on BT player this eve and typed in Fulham. A tonic when up came the chance to watch highlights of the 1965/66 home game with Sheffield Wednesday. Quite delightful! Allan Clarke's full debut, he part of a front 4 of Steve Earle, Graham Leggatt and Les Barrett. We won 4-2 with Les, Steve, Graham and Bobby Robson scoring. Graham's goal was a typical effort by him. George Cohen involved in just about everything. Well worth a look. Les looked about 13. I was at that game. Oh what memories. The pitch you could say left a little bit to be desired....

Thank you and good night
