Title: Old Sod's Army-Wolves away 1967
Post by: bog on December 10, 2016, 11:15:37 AM
Was anyone at Molyneux in December 1967? As with Brighton two weeks ago we played them off the park and lost 2-3. Joe Gilroy and Bobby Moss scored....another painful drive home that was...I hope our fans today have a happy drive back singing as the blue motorway signs come and go...

Not a good ground for us,they won 9 of last 11 against us there, let's hope we change that today.

So do 1! How could we forget, in 1959, after promotion we beat then 3-1 at home and 7 days later lost 0-9 at Molyneux...on that happy note I leave you....

My big memory of Wolves is losing our first game in the top flight to them at the Cottage after gaining promotion in 1949, they were a top team in those days, Never expect to beat them, a draw this afternoon would do nicely.
