They have sacked their head groundsman of 27 years for their pitch being frozen and game called off on Saturday.
Bit harsh me thinks as Charlton,Orient and a few others in SE were called off for same reason.
Am I bored posting this nonsense?. :012:
My local team, there is more to this story than the headline.
It is all speculation and pub talk but it is rumoured to be understood that he forgot to put the covers on the pitch 2 nights in a row last week and when they finally went on it was too late. Like I say all speculation and true or not I do not know, just what was being said down the pub and what i overheard
How can you forget to cover a bloody great big piece of grass two nights in a row?

Just for clarity I didnt say he did just pub talk, but is quite laughable if he did.
And none of the other groundsmen noticed?

Can't blame them, it was very cold.
silly mistakes, cost the club money; damage club reputation; ... bit of a non story if there's no more facts, club took appropriate action in my opinion
