This reflects our style of play which is to be patient and keep possession, making lots of safe, simple passes.

It also tells us something about the use of statistics. Ream being near the top of the list says this is not the most useful statistic as we know that, as with other defenders, we have seen the inaccurate passes that have put us into trouble and cost us goals. For defenders it is the consequences of the inaccurate passes that might be more significant.
Likewise you might imagine an attacking midfield having a poorer statistic because they try risky creative passes up field but if a decent number of those result in goals then it may be very productive for the team.

We should also note that there is little represention, usually just one player, from the six teams who are above us. Passing accuracy or other statistics like percentage possession are not key indicators.

Don't get me wrong. I am happy with our style of play but the key statistic is points in the table then some way behind that goals scored and goals conceded and then way behind that all these others that must not be taken in isolation and need careful interpretation.
