TC called up for the Scotland squad. About time!
If they'd had him Saturday they might not have lost 61-21.
Is this good news?
I'd rather he had the rest and didn't risk injury.

So long as he's in the squad when The English go to Hampden I'll be happy. Got a wager going that The Scots are going to win that game, need all the help I can get on that one
How come he's Scottish anyway, can't he wait a bit till he gets the England call? He only needs a grandparent.
Wasn't he born in Nottingham?
Scottish dad and English Mum
Definitely agree this is not good news for us.
well done to tom,bad news for us if he gets injured.

Agree to the extent of a worse case scenario but he deserves the honour on merit. He may even be much the better player for the experience.

Perhaps he can adopt one :0)
Arthur Higginbottom from Barnoldswwick has an English ring to it.
Can someone please explain, "Ain't Nobody" ?
It's not really a very indicative topic title.
The opposite of "Is Somebody"
The song "I ain't got no body" sums it up

"Ain't nobody, Like Tom Cairney. Makes me happy, makes me feel this way"
It's his song from the stands
Another few mil on his price tag.

Because he's been called up for Scotland? It's probably gone down because we can't play the "he's english' card lol

OK - thanks !
Just wish Tom well. It is a deserved opportunity and if other FFC players see our best talent getting into national squads they should be more likely to want to stay at our club.

actually me too!!! I recall hayles being injured for Jamaica and was never quite the same again.
The guy needs a rest. This isn't good news
How on Earth has Chris Martin also been named in the Scottish squad, sort of undermines TC'S call up.
Perhaps exemplifies the wide diversity of opinion on football matters which enlivens our lives so much.
Fulham manager, current and former international managers on one side; bunch of geezers sitting at home on the other.
Great for Tom, worrying for Fulham.
Tom is the last person we can afford to lose if we are to stay in this promotion race.
Strachan says "Tom Cairney was the best man on the pitch at St James' Park (a 3-1 win for Fulham) but that was no surprise, he has been the best man on the pitch on many occasions
He says hasn't picked him before because he was playing wide.....
Complete waste of time and no idea why we waste time and money on International football. Agree just a game he could get injured in or another game he could be resting.
ryan gigs attitude to being called up for wales wouldn't go amiss
only for the next couple of months ...
Just as an aside... there's 14 midfielders in that squad. About 80% of them aren't fit enough to play conference football and yet KMac gets overlooked?
