Title: The dream is over
Post by: The Swan on April 04, 2017, 09:55:40 PM
I have always hated Derby and I just knew that they would beat us to night.
We are now out of the top six and we won't get there again this season.
We had two very good chances to consolidate a place in the top six.
We could only draw with Blackburn and get hammered by Wolves. We got one point instead of six out of these games.
Roll on next season and lets hope we don't draw so many games at home.

It isn't down to just the last few games though it seems that way, we simply aren't good enough!!! On possession stat's we would already be promoted, but as you know it is down to results and we haven't managed enough positive ones! 7th place would be better than most of us would have expected pre season, my fear is that we will be nearer 7th bottom next season!

I have ordered a new Slumberland Sleepeasy mattress to relax, but I am not sure if the club will allow me to bring it through the Turnstiles.

Martin will get goals against his old enemy on Saturday, Geordie's do Wednesday... Bingo.
And Leeds have the wobbles, could be just 2 points behind them  Sat night.

I shall keep dreaming as last night was only a temporary set back. 6 matches to go and anything can happen.

As long as we are within 3 points of Sheffield Wednesday with a better goal difference, the dream is certainly not over

We can still get there, we just missed (another) chance to better our position. We can easily go to Sheffield on the last day needing a win or a draw for sixth.
