Brighton & Hove Albion have made their first signing since winning promotion to the Premier League, bringing in Pascal Gross from FC Ingolstadt 04.
The 25-year-old midfielder, who has agreed a four-year contract, will join for an undisclosed fee on 10 June.
He has made 32 appearances in the German Bundesliga this season.
"We are delighted that Pascal has opted to sign for us, amid interest from a number of clubs from the Premier League and Europe," said boss Chris Hughton.
Well Brighton are quick off the mark, wonder how long we will have to wait for some action.
My worst fear is having to live through the summer with rumour after rumour about a Cairney move then some unworthy premiership club snatching him away on the last day of August, leaving us with insufficient time to organise a replacement.

Can't players speak to clubs in other countries in the January of the year their contract expires. Not sure about this blokes contract but maybe that is how this had come about.

When the attempt to sign another player is done without the knowledge or permission of the player's current team. All the 'scheduled' transfers have been done with both clubs agreement.
That's how we signed Bullard; he signed during the end of one season but couldn't play until the following season.
