58-59 was quite a good season for this sort of thing:

Fulham 6  Stoke 1  (Cook3, Haynes, Leggat, Chamberlain)
Fulham 6  Sunderland 2 (Haynes 3, Chamberlain, Leggat, Langley)
Lincoln 2   Fulham 4 (Leggat 2, Chamberlain, Haynes)
Fulham 4  Lincoln 2 (Haynes 4)
Fulham 4  Derby 2   (Haynes 2, Langley, Cook)
Middlesbrough 2 Fulham 3 (Leggat 3)
Fulham 5  Barnsley 2 (Leggat 2, Doherty, Cook, og)
Fulham 5  Leyton O 2 (Haynes 3, Leggat, Doherty) - Alan Mullery's debut age 17

etc. etc (Shef Wed, Barnsley (A), etc. etc - 13 in all)

always handy to have someone like Graham Leggat, especially in the season when the Maestro decided that he'd score a few goals himself for a change.

Chester 7 Fulham 0 still makes me wince. Whereas Liverpool 10 Fulham 0 doesn't

I know that they are not wins. So Fulham 5 Man C 1 still remembered for being the last time the old scoreboard was used and for the City fans watching a game in Bishops Park and cheering when a goal was scored.

A couple more from the Tigana promotion season 2000-1:

Stockport h 4-1
Barnsley h 5-1
Tranmere a 4-1

Also has anyone mentioned the 4-1 at Newcastle in 1982-3?

The 5-1 result vs Barnsley was good as it was my son's first game and I think that was the game where Dave Bassett was reading a newspaper at the pitch side approx 15-30mins before the game.

Remarkable season, that one (and we still 'only' managed to finish 2nd!)
Seven hat-tricks is surely a record for us. Haynes 4, Leggat, Chamberlain, Hill.
I would have thought that Haynes' 4 'tricks was a record, too, but Roy Dwight also got 4 in my very first season as a supporter.

Last day guys.

I'll add Fulham 4v1 Bolton. First game of the season at Loftus Road. I'll never forget Des Lynham on ITVs 'the premiership' (remember that lol) closing the show by saying "It's been a great opening day to the season, especially if you're a Fulham fan"

Top of the league for the first time  049:gif

Well done guys you passed the challenge in time just about! Which means you passed the challenge series overall! There were 10 in total and you passed 6 of them. So give yourselves a pat on the back lol.

I'll probably do this again next summer although the World Cup might be a better alternative of passing the time. Hope you enjoyed them anyway   049:gif
