Title: are leeds fans the most delusional in the EFL?
Post by: southwest6 on August 21, 2017, 08:09:30 AM
Been reading some stuff on twitter with regards to Chris Wood potentially signing for Burnley and a fair amount leeds fans brag about how 'big' a club they are - unable to comprehend his potential move. Is it because of their success 20 odd years ago or because they sell out wherever they go? The only team in Leeds is Leeds United thus coming to no surprise when they bring good numbers away from home. Has anyone got a reasonable theory on the LUFC fanbase psyche, which is seemingly becoming ever more worring?

Well, Burnley were bigger than Leeds before Leeds' period of success in the 70s - which was a long time ago someone might like to tell them.

No more delusional than any teams fans if you read most forums/twitter or listen to them talking.
We go on about 'why would player leave us for them' plenty of time. We are always going on about 'come and live and play in London' 'why would they pick Middlesbrough?' and that type of thing.
In many ways we are still living off 13 years in the Pl and a Europa final. Just as Forest and many more live off of their past championship and cup wins.
We all think we have a right to win every game and sign and keep every player. Same everywhere.
