SJ says about building momentum, well you cannot do that if you put a comletely different team out, so I am in two minds.
If we truly want to build momentum, then the changes should be limited to say 3 or 4 players, if we want to give the swuad a run out then we have to accept momentum wont build as much by doing that.
Not bothered bout thjs comp more important sat v ipswich and spending being there supporting the team.

I agree, but will we build any fluidity without getting the players playing together? Slav said yesterday he wants momentum, will we get that with just one or two players playing?
Like I said am torn between whole sale changes and say maybe just 4 so we get some momentum and fluidity.
either way I will be happy.
Also personally think its right to care about every game and competition we are in, as you never know what could happen, just look at Bradford a few years ago.
Its a catch 22 for him really. Don't want to overplay guys too early in season, but a couple are very rusty.
I'd be tempted to start at least Johansen, Fonte, Kamara, Norwood, Cisse and Kebano from those I consider starters or close to it.

agree a catch 22 situation. Not an easy situation.
I owuld go with something like...
Betts
S. Sess
Kalas
Djalo
Opuko
JOhanssen
Norwood
Cisse
Kebano
Fonte
Kamara
Subs

im more worried aboutt Cairneys knee, a small niggle that needed a small op and then heplpays a week or so later. It seemed to quick and he doesnt look right.
Of course your right you can get momenttum playing in the 20/22 man squad by doing what you say, but I dont think you get the fluidity in the league 11 by doing so, we are clarly lacking there right now. Compare that to how we finished last season and we lok second rate by our own high standards. As long as we play form our forst team squad that works better for me but I am happy either way really but will temper my expectations, by that I meane what fluidity and high level of play to expect, for Saturday based on what we do tonight.
I forgot about Ojo i would start him over Kebano

Same ;-) So many options...oh wait we have a thin squad or do we?
So I would go
Betts
S.Sess-Kalas (Unless Madl is available)-Djalo-Edun
Norwood-Cisse-Johansen
Ojo-Fonte-Kamara
But suspect Edun will start for Johansen and Odoi at LB
Although Cairney said his knee is fine & that he just needs minutes to build up his overall strength I would not play him. Johansen has also been carrying an injury so he should not start.
For me:-
Betts
Odoi Kalas Djalo R Sess
Norwood Cisse McD
Ojo Fonte Kamara
I reckon you're all right and poor old Rovers are going to play against a pretty forceful line up
I don't think I'd risk an injury to Johansen or Norwood with Cairney not being fully fit.

Yes whichever way you look at it, Rovers may be in for a difficult night.

Did anyone else have a heart attack that Joka had quit with that latest offal news post labelled Team News with a picture of SK walking??

Nope. Just like when I see a player running I don't think they've quit either. Also the title 'team news' gave it away. Normally it would say 'Jokanovic Quits'
My interpretation of this is that he's wanting to give players like Fonte, Norwood, Cisse, Kamara and other players who could potentially be in our Best XI a run out. Admittedly it won't be with the majority of the Best XI BUT if Kamara and Fonte both got on the scoresheet tonight that to me out build some sort of momentum

No Edun?
Either him or Adeniran but reckon O Riley needs to be given another chance to impress. Don't think he's been mentioned and none of them played in u18/u23

I'm intrigued to see if any of these players will be off on loan this year. Williams surely and Kav but out of the more exciting kids I have no idea.
Hopefully for selfish reasons we can keep them together at least to play through the Checkatrade trophy and get them out on loan in January.
Would have liked Humphrys and Williams to get game time tonight but I'm sure getting minutes for the newbies like Ojo and Fonte is more important.
I'd go with this team letting some that beat Wycombe continue.
