Post by: HatterDon on September 17, 2017, 05:18:05 AM
does Cauley need to prove that he can score regularly at this level?  :dft007:

There must be something about Woodrow we don't see. Granted he scored yesterday, but he is not starting many games under many managers he has been loaned to and played for. Does he not impress in training,?, there is obviously a problem with him in managers eyes.

Never a fan really. But even I was shocked we sent him on loan without a replacement. We have two forwards, one isn't trusted in the squad. We play the same way. Woodrow always looks better when he has striker around him. Not a player who can play as a loan striker. On loan he is never the loan striker. Which is why he does looks better.

48 games 7 goals for us in the C'Ship.
14 games 5 goals for Burton
3 games 1 goal for Bristol

Not sure how you'd define 'regularly'. Also, 48 games is quite a lot of chances.

How many starts did he make for us, to my mind he was rarely given a good run with a good partner.

Real. Woodrow is toss. Not good enough for a promotion chasing side.

Transfermarkt records him as having made 65 Championship appearances for 3 clubs. Just 23 starts. Very few full matches. Total of 2514 minutes. 13 goals. Works out at about 1 goal every 195 minutes.

This is a pretty decent rate. But his appearances have been so sporadic that it would't be safe to read too much into them.

It does suggest, though, that he can perform at this level but is not the kind of spectacular type who demands a permanent place.
I have never seen anything questionable in his attitude. He has always struck me as a genuine, affable, generous bloke, popular and with a sense of humour.

Scored 5 from 10 starts at burton, only had one start for Bristol and two 20 minute sub appearances.
