Might be because the stands are so close to the pitch and they are tiny themselves. Brain playing tricks maybe?
I thought that BUT ours 100 meters by 65 meters
Theirs 110 yds by 75 yds .
Work it out for yourselves.
I just can't believe that ,I even commented to my nephew how small the pitch was ,but there again I am getting on a bit.

That's why we lost pitch was too big, not used to playing on such a big pitch. fp.gif

The problem was not with the pitch but with the goals, we need them twice the size to improve on the 2 shots on target stat.
It's the same size as last season, and I remember we did ok at Burton then.
So perhaps it's not the pitch that beat us - the awful ref is the prime culprit
Yes - diabolical ref , awarding non existent pens, and giving us ludicrous bookings and denying clear pens.
I didn't think we were that bad in the circumstances, and would have won on another day, and deserved at least a point,but is it because we expect to roll over Burton easily that has caused such discontent on here.
Burton proved good battlers, and showed some quality, but only won because of that phantom pen award, and out wayward shooting.

so right , I was there,I've watched it time and again on replays. And still fail to see what it's for. The ref seemed to give it on appeal from one of their players. Yes the ref and linesman by us was hopeless. They really should be made accountable when so much depends on the outcome. 😬
