Title: Lineup for Boro?
Post by: @jolslover on September 21, 2017, 07:09:19 PM
Will get the ball rolling and say my team would be

Button, Fredericks Kalas Ream Odoi, Mcdonald Johansen Norwood, Ojo Fonte Sessegnon

Perhaps a controversial one to include Ojo over our other wingers but feel Kebano hasn't done anything of note last 2 games and Ojos acceleration and strength puts him over Ayite for me.. For now anyway.
Feel Sess would be too exposed at LB against a top Boro side aswell... As for Norwood think he just edges it over Cisse down to his technical ability

Would like to see:

Button, Fredericks Kalas Ream Odoi, Mcdonald Johansen, Kamara, Kebano Fonte Sessegnon

Fonte up top with Kamara just behind plus they could both switch and if Kamara or Fonte play badly can change for Ayite

I think Slav will start Ayite who as played well recently to be fair

We're told one of the major successes of this summer's recruitment was that we've now got cover in central midfield. Well the impact of Cairney's injury on our performances and results clearly shows that is b&&&&cks. Cannot stomach another game with Norwood starting, don't think Cisse's up to it either. I'd give a lot for Parker back but in his absence I'd honestly try Edun or O'Reilly rather than persist with the new recruits.

Button
Fredericks - Kalas - Ream - Odoi
McDonald - Edun - Johansen
Ayite - Fonte - Kebano

Strange you should go down that route as well. At the photo copier team selection meeting today I said I think I would pay without whinging to see the likes of Humphreys, O Reilly and Edun at least given the chance. They have worn the badge for a while now
And I think they 'get it'. I'm not so sure the imports do.
Too soon some will say. How do we know?

One that puts in an effort, and actually gives a damn, will be a good start.

If you listened to the latest FoFcast, link is below, I like what Westcliff White suggesested for the lineup.

Give Norwood a series of runs and see what he can do.  Put Fonte up top but don't have him drop back so deep so as to make a false 9.  First sub would be Mollo as Danny suggested.   049:gif

At least we're all in agreement on one thing for Saturday then , and that is Ryan Sessegnon doesn't play at left back against Boro, 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Why do people assume when players have a bad game that they don't give a dam, I had a real bad time at work yesterday but I still cared.

In full agreement that Sess has outstayed his welcome at left back. The big problem though is finding someone with he necessary skills and confidence to replace Cairney as the midfield general, all attempts to date have failed so lets hope Jocanovic has been working on something different this week.

How about:-

                                                               Button
                               Frederick       Kallas                 Ream          Odoi

                                                    McCdonald           Johansen

                                                                 Sessegnon
                                       Ayite                                                    Kebano

                                                                  AK49

Ayite has to be playing. If you're going to play Sess it has to be at left back, either that or bench him. We have too many specialist wingers to have a left back playing there.
Also, it's not good for his development to constantly play different roles.

Hes going to be LW when he develops so we should be bedding him in this position. Also, why isn't it good for him to play different roles?

He may play there in the future but he may not, he could be the next Ashley Cole with a bit of work on his defensive play. It's not good to play different roles all the time because he should become a specialist in one position first, not just a jack of all trades.

I think thats pretty much on the money that he will start. I would have Ojo on bench ahead of Graham.

Be sure to take Norewood off as soon as he scores as there is no way he is going to get more than one
