Was ok when wide on the left, but he is no central striker which is where he has often had to play this season.

The thing is, people point out that Fonte isn't a holding man one week or is being played in his leff preferred position another week... well look at Ayite, the guy is a feather of a man, almost a dwarf, and he's played half his games for us as a central striker expected to win long balls. In my eyes he's already a hero for doing that and not (really) letting his head drop. Now Aluko is gone, Ayite is by far our most likely player to actually skin a man, the most skillful player we have, and he hits the target when given the chance, unlike Aluko. IMO he's a £10m player, and our best attacker/winger (that's not saying much i know) so i don't get where the criticism is coming from.
£10M!!!!

is that high or low in your opinion? he is better than the £7m man aluko all things considered imo, or just as good but less likely to be crap in is second season at whatever club he plays for
Personally think hes been shocking this season. Last home game was so poor. Not worth £2M based on this season.

You dont become a bad player over night, but for me hes a wide player not a striker and the best wide player we have ability wise.

Like many others this season he is a square peg trying to fit into a round hole playing in a position he does'nt know or has the attributes for. If he has to play out wide adapt the plan. If he has play as a lone striker adapt the plan. If he has to play at all ...... well adapt the plan.

£10m? For a player who turns up once every 8 games.

Ayite is another victim of the system at this club, a round peg in a square hole, we have far too many. He should be played in his best position. Is it any wonder he is not having a good Season. No wonder we cannot score or buy a win.

I think he should be played out wide and not as a striker. From what I have read everyone appears to be in agreement on this.

However I believe one thing he is weaker on this year (or maybe due to our good form he got away with last year) is tracking back.

Many a time he has stood there and pointed as the opposition have a 2 man overlap. Teams are aiming at sess as they know that where we are weakest at LB. By our winger not tracking back to give cover we are even more vulnerable with sess at LB.

I liked Aluko, but I think the fee we got for him was too good to say no. However he was always back defending. Floyd has skill going forward, but for me him not tracking back (wolves a prime example) means we get pinned back and overlapped in our defence when we loose the ball.

It would help if, during a match, he goes straight, instead of sideways. I think his shooting is as bad as Aluko's was. He's missed several sitters this season already. I can't really see why he's a starter instead of Kebano.

He is no central striker, but at times has to play there.
Aluko and Ayite are both left footed.
Whereas it totally suites Aluko to play on the right as an inverted winger it does not suit Ayite
He is most effective on the left where he is one of few who can beat a fb on the outside and get a cross in.
All be it that currently it would need to be a low cross to stand any chance of success.

Aren't you the one always telling me how good all these players are and how much better Jokanovic should be doing with them????

I have never rated Ayite. Yet, despite all those poor performances, he chooses to play him over everyone else.

At least make it harder for me.

Which tells us more about Jokanovic than it does about Ayite.

My point entirely. Ayite isn't our best option on the wing, let alone striker.
