Looks like most of the Cardiff mob have stayed home tonight.
Come on Forest!!!
Does anyone have a link for the game? Don't have Sky anymore.

Come on Karanka get them geed up and tell them they're playing for their places at the club next season..Come on Forest.🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴
Dangerous counter-attack from Forest.
Forest messed up 2 good chances.
Both teams look very poor

Cardiff always seems to be second best. Under the cosh but they never concede then get a late winner.

Yeah, Forest have had the best of it so far but Cardiff will hold on and sneak a late winner.
Well that's then end of that
Cardiff 1-0 Forest
Rollocks 1-0
They're going to grind out these 3 wins, playing the worst football ever.
Forrest are so poor. Two clear cut chances and they can't even get shots on target. What I'd give for one of our last games to be against Cardif. We'd destroy them
So now they only need to win 2 more
They haven't won yet, they are not that good.
Ok, they're one up but it's not over yet.
Great goal by Cardiff as ever...
If they do win tonight then we need Derby to stuff them.
Forest are poor, Cardiff are just as poor but Cardiff have height and size and resort to it as default every time and it works. Cannot are forest getting a goal here. Would love to have egg on my face
Forest are bloody awful. No idea how they're a Championship side. Cardiff using their height advantage to good use.
It's painful to watch but I've already conceded 2nd place. I don't expect Forest or Derby to do us any favours at all. We're resigned to the playoffs.
I suspect Hull are going to be Cardiff biggest challenge

What a poor game. One defensive lapse the difference. How lazy does Brereton look up top?
Its only half time....Forest might come flying out the traps second half....Well I can hope can't I?.lol
We just need some bloody luck. I still can't believe they didn't get one of those two efforts on target. Cardiff do look tired which bodes well for Tuesday. We just need a last minute goal from Forest to get the draw and then they will really start to panic.
Please... please give us some luck!

Ideal result: Cardiff lose every game
Realistic result: Draw today. Lose Tuesday.
If there is a God, please don't let Cardiff win tonight
Derby and Hull will decide if we go up in 2nd or via the playoffs
I've been resigned since that last 10 secs body blow from Brentford.
Cardiff are bloody awful but even with 22 unbeaten and Premier class football last night we still won't overtake them.
Currently we are playing Millwall in the semi, but our nemesis Brentford could nick their place.
In saying all that,,,,,, COME ON FOREST
The goal was the usual dirty tactics we have seen all season. The Forest GK was deliberately blocked from moving. Surely this should be obstruction as the Cardiff player was making no attempt to get to the ball leaving Morrison a free header.
Karanka done nowt since he went there.
Bamba's on. Cardiff will win this 1-0 now.

We employ dirty tactics very frequently, obvious time wasting, falling over a lot to win fouls. Can't moan at Cardiff. Was just very poor defending.

Then they'd have to beat Derby, pressure on them.
Wow Cardiff nearly 2-0 up then 2 mins later YES !
Forest can't win a header, it's gonna be a long 40 minutes
I didn't see that coming

Some astonishingly biased reporting in favour of the Taffs by Josh Hunt on the BBC.
Is anyone else nervous?!?! Bloody hell and it's not even Fulham playing!!

Is anyone watching, who is playing better
I'm more nervous watching this than I was against Millwall

Urgh. Unsurprising.
Shock the long ball again
Rollocks.....Aaaaargh
What a STUPID free kick to give away. Just turned the TV off and thrown the remote away. That's it. Cardiff will win this.
Shocking defending. Cardiff have been awful yet again and are gonna grind another out
Forest you twerps
Cannot believe it.
jesus
The defender tries to knee the ball away just throw a leg at it. As the commentators says diabolical defending
Awful defending. Come on Forest!!
Come on Forest show some pride.

Plenty of time to get an equaliser.

Derby need to beat them to get back into the top six, which is even better. Jack Colback is doing his best to give away a penalty.
Cardiff trying to flop their way to a third...
Forest have lost their shape since the second goal.
Forest wasting another chance
My god the Cardiff players go down constantly
Oh well we had hope for 24 mins in this game
We have been up and down more times than a who##es draws between 2nd and 3rd tonight.
5 mins to go....... we can only dream
If Forest had a little bit more quality in the final third they could nick a second goal here.
Cardiff - worst team to ever get promoted. They won't last five minutes. Colin gone by October break.
Cardiff have the worst set of players ever to be challenging for promotion. Not one of them Premiership quality.
Well, at least if we go up via the playoffs they will constitute an easy 6 points in staying up next year.
Cardiff have a very wealthy owner, plus it's a decent city where you will be a hero. I think they go up they could and will spend big and attract some decent players unfortunately

Colin W. is an anagram of Neil Warnock.
The amount of diving from the Cardiff players is embarrassing
Forest really are pants!
Hopefully Derby show up on Tuesday
I think Cardiff will turn over Derby on Tuesday and that'll be that. Derby will bottle it as usual. Think Hull have a better chance of beating Cardiff, in all honesty.
Forest are absolutely atrocious. Pub team. Most infuriating match I've watched in a long while.
Derby have to win or that's it's im afraid. At least they've got something to play for unlike those no hopers tonight.
They are not that good, so they can lose to anyone, they are riding their luck. If Derby win, then it's game on, all we can do is win our games.
Derby are far different to Forest, we can only hope.
Then their is Hull City, both these teams can turn over Warlocks Bunch.
Literally the only thing Peterson did was try to embellish for fouls and cards.
And Warnock won't even make eye contact when shaking hands, perhaps another manager should tell him to F off 15 times and then moan to the media post match.
I'm sick of this going down to relying on other teams to beat Cardiff. We're not finishing second.
Who knows. It could be Reading to put us into the premier league. That would be sweet!
The only way we can get 2nd is for Derby to win on Tuesday & Cardiff getting no more than 4 points from their last 2 games. We, of course must win our last 2 games.
It is an indictment of English football that Cardiff are going up. They literally make absoloutely no attempt to be creative. They just play for corners, set pieces, throw ins and lob it in. Huge giants pushing pulling and shoving their way to the goal.
I mean fair play to them, but for God's sake.
Hull aren't good defensivley but they score a lot of goals and Derby aren't a bad team either, especially as they desperately need a win for the playoffs. Thank god their game is Tuesday and not months ago when they had half a team.

They'll be the freak show of the premier league and will be bullied accordingly.
When/if they go up, I'll cheer for every team they play against. They play horrible football, I just can't understand how they can attract neutrals.
If I were the Derby manager I'd just stick two men on that w@nker Scott Morrison at set pieces and they have nothing else. It was painfully obvious over this game but that shows why Forest are where they are.
Unfortunately the Brentford and QPR draws have been our undoing. I know promotion is achieved over 46 games but those two were particularly punishing.

Or when we lost away to Burton and Sunderland? No use crying over spilt milk. Are people really surprised that Cardiff won tonight? We'll know where we stand after they play Derby on Tuesday. For the time being it's by no means over. If you need cheering up have another look at McDonald's goal.
Forest should have equalised at the death, why did he pass..Should have shot.
We don't need Cardiff to lose any game. A draw against Derby and then the same against Hull is all we need. That may or may not happen. I happen to think it will and we will still sneak through in second.
Either way, at least we will know by Wednesday morning if autos is all over and whether we have the delight of 2 or 3 extra games watching this team of ours.

That's a good point. If Cardiff even draw to Derby (which won't be enough for Derby) they will be shitting it over their last two games. We need to keep winning and we have a decent shot

If Cardiff win Tuesday, and we beat Sunderland, it will be Saturday before they can claim second spot but they have to beat Hull. A draw and it all goes down to the last game of the season. The 'suffering' continues.
I was actually pretty happy Forest didn't at least get knocked for 6. Last nights 3 goals have done us wonders as we have a +4 goal difference over Cardif at the moment and that's worth half a point.
We need to keep winning
Either we go up auto or whoever we play in the ply offs will have no self belief and will be shaking.
Either way......I BELIEVE!!!!
End of
I loved Journo, Dave Kidd's line during match...Cardiff keep winning line-out deep in the Forest 22
Forest should have got something from the game tonight.
They tried to play football and gave as good as they got.....unfortunately their finishing was woeful.
It's not how good Cardiff are but how bad their opponents are at the moment.
Still, think we'll do it....maybe on the last day.....will be another Pompey day!!

If Cardiff beat Derby, that will put them up four with two to play. We should then plan on the playoffs and rest some folks. If we can't beat a relegated Sunderland while sitting some folks, then we are not as good as I think we are. I'd sit Sess, Johanson, Carney and Fred. Maybe give Kalas and AK a start to get them ready for the playoffs. The one thing that worries me is another half like the second against the Ha-Ha's or the first on Friday.
If Derby do not beat Cardiff then not only is second even more unlikely for us than it is now but we should start preparing for a playoff game against Brentford.
They have 2 winnable fixtures (Barnsley a & Hull h) whereas the others are playing one another & cannot buy a win

I think we were all meaning the draws against QPR and Brentford were very costly because they took place during our unbeaten run. We have had five draws during that spell and would have been better off with three wins and two losses but it is what it is! As you say we will have a clearer picture after Tuesday night.
I am just thankful that I don't have to watch dross football like that every week in fact I have seen the ball at Twickenham on the deck more than under one of Colins sides 🏈

at the other end of spectrum our injury time equalisers and winners gave us points.
The problem is it is effective as Wimbledon proved all those years ago. Watford too under Graham Taylor. I wish I could say they ar certain to get relegated next season if they were to get promoted but all teams struggle to combat high balls coming at them for 90 minutes. That is why they play that game
Results are what are behind every side's league position, and, why we may not like it, Cardiff have more points than we do and a game in hand. That is the fact as it stands after last night's game. We cannot change any of that.
What irks me just a little, since it does have some bearing over how games pan out, is the controversial choice of Mr Bankes to referee Cardiff's game against Forest last night rather than the selection of a PL experienced referee, e.g. Mr Marriner, for our game at the New Den. I have noticed that no matter what job Mr Bankes performs it always involved stand up comedy, and there was no lack of jokes on offer last night. As an example Marriner saw fit to penalise Wallace's assault on Targett, Friday night, but neither Mr Bankes nor his assistants could see Gunnarsson's deliberate impedance and obstruction of the Forest keeper, for the host's first goal as a foul although it most certainly looked that way to my eyes, since he made no attempt to go near the ball. Why can't we have decent referees for all the critical matches to be played between now and the play off final?

I can guarantee that, rightly or wrongly, We will be focusing on automatic promotion until it's mathematically impossible. So even if Cardiff win on Tuesday, we will be playing our best team versus Sunderland, and unless they beat both derby and hull, our best XI will be giving it 100% versus Birmingham as well
I totally agree Statto. Our focus should be on automatic promotion until it is mathematically impossible for us to achieve 2nd. My earlier post was negative and I apologise unreservedly.
My head says that I cannot see Cardiff not beating Derby and Reading with us meeting Brentford in 3v6. My heart says of course Cardiff can drop points and we can win both our remaining games. COYW
Let us check the facts.
I have looked in my Crystal Ball 🔮 in a Mystic Meg kind of way, lo and behold it is telling me that one way or another we will win our matches v Sunderland and Birmingham City, or I am not a Hairy Elephant 🐘.
That's Six points in my wife's hand bag and 91 well earned points.
It also deduces that this outfit who call themselves Cardiff or something like that, led my a Warlock only have the ability if they are lucky enough to only win one out of their remaining fixtures, that's no more than 5 points at the most.
So they are Kippered and will then lose in the play offs, and Warlock will be spending the summer in the Funny Farm after combusting and bursting into 🔥 flames.
Blaming everyone from the 4th Official to the Tea Lady.
Even the snow will get some stick, as well as Sepp Blatter.
So nothing to worry about, it's all agreed and settled.

Quite right!
They didn't play well and scored in their usual way of bossing the set pieces. Saying that Forest are the team in the league with the worst record for defending set pieces.
All commentary confirmed how badly Cardiff played, so if they come up against a Derby team who are motivated, then I see it being a totally different story.
