Is there any advantage in the size if the pitch?
Wembley Pitch 105 x 69
Fulham 100 x 65
Aston Villa 105 x 68
Yes. If a side likes to play football the proper way then it suits them.

I always felt that the way we play would be well-suited to Wembley. Our fullbacks will enjoy their 90 minutes, that's for sure.
The ⚽️ never gets tired.
Maybe yes. But we don't know how the players will react to this big occasion. I'm afraid that some players will get heavy legs because of the tension.
If we are mentally strong than we will win the play-offs
It's down to who has the bottle, villa have the experience over us,

More room to run rings around them

I don't think there's enough size difference to matter. I think that the space around the pitch makes it look a lot bigger than the Cottage. The playing surface is the key factor.
Villa pitch isn't much smaller than it so they will already be used to playing at a big pitch. Makes me think that there is no advantage to be gained bar for villa.
My wif always told me size didn't matter
Turn it on it's head. If the Wembley pitch were smaller than ours, would that help our brand of football? In my view, certainly not as runners into space are penalised whilst more direct football prospers. Midfields get clogged. But perhaps the biggest issue with smaller pitches is that the ball goes out of play more often, giving old men a breather. There's just less football played over 90 minutes on smaller pitches.
So turning it back round, it seems that the bigger the pitch, the better for us.

So? How many games have they won at Wembley? They have experience of losing.

Are we sure these figures are correct? I saw some different numbers quoted on another thread.
I have checked the internet and for;
Villa; The Villa website says 115 x 72 yds, the Open Play website states Villa Park is 113 x 74 yds, other sites e.g. Wiki say 106 x 68 m (which I make to be 116 x 74 yds).
Fulham; Open Play and Transfer Market both say The Cottage is 110 x 75 yds, Football Stadiums and Wiki both say 100 x 65 m (which I reckon is approx 109 x 71 yds), FFC website says nothing (that I could find).
Wembley; Wiki gives 115 x 75 yds. Oddly the Wembley site doesn't appear to give a figure.
Confused? I certainly am.

She forgot to add-----above 18inches.
Of course a different size pitch could effect out game but surely we will have been using a Wembley size pitch for training all this week and next, more than we could have done for a normal league game at Villa for instance.
I remember back in 1966, Alf Ramsey had a training pitch laid at the Bank of England Sports Ground, with the exact same measurements as The Old Wembley. It's the first pitch on the left as you drive in, it's still there.
So it obviously stood England in good stead to have same measurements. So there is something to be said for it.
